In fact, Alice Springs' arid desert climate and the vast parking space around it make it the most ideal place to store aircraft. Alice Springs is located in the center of Australia, very far away from Darwin in the north, Adelaide in the south, Perth in the west, Gold Coast in the east, and even Sydney and Melbourne in the southeast. The most direct way to get in is to rely on direct flights from Qantas/Virgin Australia to major cities. The driving distance from Alice Springs to Uluru is about 460 kilometers. You will pass Stuart Highway and Lasseter Highway along the way. The whole driving time is about 5 hours. However, there are not many vehicles on the road, and the highway is a straight road with few bends. In addition, the scenery on both sides is repetitive, which can easily make people tired and fall asleep. Be careful. There are many accommodation options around Uluru, from the most basic campsites to motels and even luxury view hotels. You can choose according to your budget. However, if you plan to visit during the peak season (May to September) and stay in a hotel in the Yulara area closest to Uluru, you must book early and may have to pay a higher fee. One thing that has to be mentioned here is Longitude 131°, the most expensive luxury hotel in the area. The name of Longitude 131° comes from its location on longitude 131°. The hotel is located 10 kilometers away from Uluru in a straight line and has excellent views. The hotel has only 16 tent pavilions, each of which has floor-to-ceiling glass and a terrace, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Uluru from indoors and outdoors. However, the price of staying in such a luxurious hotel is not low. The charge for each tent pavilion is AUD3000 per night, and it is very exaggerated that you have to be late to get it. It seems that I cannot afford to stay in an accommodation like Longitude 131°, which is high off the ground. So I chose the more down-to-earth Ayers Rock Campground during my visit. The camp provides different accommodation needs, such as tents, campervan camps, and even cabins with two rooms. The camp also provides a swimming pool, playground, barbecue facilities, outdoor kitchen, self-service laundry facilities, restaurants and bars, shops, supermarkets and gas stations, so that guests can relax and enjoy themselves here. Ayers Rock Camp is only 20 kilometers away from Uluru. Self-driving tourists can easily arrive there. Even those who do not drive can use the pick-up and drop-off service or guided tours provided by the camp to easily visit Uluru. Finally, I have to mention that the camp is located in a place with very low light pollution. When you look up at night, you can see the stars and the Milky Way in the sky, which is very spectacular.

Australia’s aboriginal art features distinctive and unique elements that are full of unspoken meanings. They convey the contemporary reinterpretations of the native worldview. I visited an art gallery, Yubu Napa, in Alice Springs. This gallery features all kinds of aboriginal themed handicrafts, besides the display of finished and yet-to-be-finished artwork. The first impression of the art there is the prolific engagement of dots in the paintings. As a collective these dots seem to convey motion, fluidity and the enormous possibilities in the living universe. I seemed to sense the dialogue behind these paintings, as art that brings forth the tensions between the identity of being an aboriginal artist and the commitment to contemporary notions of aesthetic creativity. I have learned previously that the aboriginal art at the Outback serve both expressive and pragmatic purposes that concern survival. The feeling I got from viewing the aboriginal art of today is that the expressive elements are primarily vehicles for artistic exploration and emotional engagement. While some of the symbolisms may be traced to their traditional usage and meanings in aboriginal art, the patterns and compositions together show the conscious breakaway from the aims with which the aborigines painted in the wild. The aboriginal art here takes the fundamental meanings in aboriginal worldviews and render them in what, to my untrained eye, seemed to be abstract manners. The art being featured in an art gallery, they certainly come with a commercial dimension in the creative endeavor. They are done by artists that had proper training in schools, and so the techniques are markedly more sophisticated than the ones we saw at the cultural center in Uluru. The original aboriginal life that was supplanted by European settlement is a subtext in Alice Springs, but it is acknowledged in an even-handed manner. The area now known as Anzac Hill was Untyeye-artwilye to the Arrernte aborigines. The two words together means “corkwood story,” and so as the Dreamtime goes. The Dreamtime has to do with a woman ancestor who lived on the hill without the company of men. The most signficant Dreamtime at East Mac, concerning the Three Caterpillars, finds its relevance here as well, as in a rock in the Todd River into which an Ancestor morphed. ANZAC is a term that comes up very often in Australian life. It stands for “Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.” Being true to its name, the appearance of Anzac has to do with Australia’s warrior past (or peacekeeping missions, depending on your perspective). In fact, the Anzac day is a national day of commemoration for the Gallipoli landing by the Australian troops during World War I. The commemoration has been 110 years in the running. ANZAC HILL At Anzac Hill, the history of Australia’s involvement in WWI is amply shown in the open-air museum. In its beginning in 1934, the Anzac Memorial commemorated those who served in WWI. It has evolved to serve as a site of remembrance for all those who served in the wars in which Australia involved itself. The Anzac Memorial is simply a memorial structure surrounded by flags of significance. But the spirit flies high under the generous sunshine of a day in the depth of the autumn. I took a solemn moment to salute to the sacrifices that Australians have made to world peace. Their contribution to world peace, not least to ending the Pacific War, is not nearly acknowledged enough in global politics. During World War II, Alice Springs was a major military camp that served as the arsenal and staging point for supplies to Darwin, which was Australia’s warfront in the Pacific War. In 1940, an advanced party of military personnel arrived to prepare a camp for the Darwin Overland Maintenance Force (DOMF) in Alice Springs. The city became a key stopover for the supply fleets to Darwin, and later the administrative center and the de facto capital for the state in 1942. We were learning about "bush tucker" (native foods) and survival skills. It was midday, and the heat was intense—over 40°C (104°F). My water bottle was nearly empty, and despite drinking sparingly, I felt dehydration setting in. I mentioned this to the elder, who chuckled softly. He walked over to a seemingly dead, gnarled desert oak tree (Allocasuarina decaisneana). Using a digging stick, he unearthed a thick, tuberous root system about a foot below the parched surface. With a stone tool, he sliced open a section of the root. Instantly, clear, cool liquid began to pool. He gestured for me to drink. I recently took a few days off from my screen in Sydney to visit the Red Centre. As someone who loves being outdoors and can easily walk all day, this trip felt incredibly grounding. I think my favourite part was the Kings Canyon rim walk. It’s a bit of a climb at the start, but once you’re up there, walking along the sandstone dome formations feels like being on another planet. It was so quiet, just the wind and the vast desert stretching out. We also did the full Uluru base walk. It’s about 10 kilometres, and although it’s completely flat, walking the whole distance makes you feel much more connected to the scale and presence of the rock than just looking at it from a sunset viewing area. I found myself just quietly looking at the textures and caves carved into the stone. It felt really nice to disconnect for a bit and just walk. If you love natural landscapes and don't mind spending the whole day on your feet, it’s a beautiful place to clear your head.

Upon arrival, the reception staff greeted us with professional courtesy and warm smiles. We quickly completed the check-in process, received our room keys, and headed to the elevator. Our room was decorated in a simple yet elegant style with a modern touch. Every detail reflected the hotel's taste and respect for its guests. The soft bed made me want to fall asleep right away. Finally, I have to mention the service. Every staff member was enthusiastic and professional, making me feel truly at home. Every moment here was unforgettable, making it hard to leave.

Australia 🇦🇺 has well-developed coastal cities and dense populations, but the inland areas are sparsely populated. Although many tourists come to Australia for tourism, they have never visited Alice Spring in the red soil continent, which adds a touch of mystery to this magical rock. When you step onto this red continent, come and take a look at the charm of central Australia. You can choose to rent a car and drive yourself to various attractions. There are also public buses 🚌, but the frequency is less. You can also take a taxi 🚕 or make an appointment for a pick-up service. The central part of Australia 🇦🇺 is indeed different. The combination of the red soil continent and the sun 🌞 makes people feel a little hot, but don’t be fooled by this appearance. At night, the temperature will drop sharply to below 0 degrees. Coming out of the airport, we saw the welcome sign for Alice Springs not long after driving. The pioneer car arrived at ANZAC Hill, the highest point in Alice Springs. The hill was named by the locals in memory of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC). There is an ANZAC Memorial on the top of the hill to commemorate the Australian soldiers who died in the war, see Figure 3. From here you can have a panoramic view of the entire Alice Springs, and looking into the distance you can see the Macdonnell Ranges, which gives a sense of desolation. The mountain range is divided into two parts, east and west, with Alice Springs as the dividing line! [One] Alice Springs Desert Park [Scenic] Leaving Anzac Hill, we headed to Alice Springs Desert Park. Three natural animal habitats are fully reproduced here: inland river, sand country and woodland [Mountain]. Many creatures live in them, and people can observe the living habits of different species up close. There are also night walk tours where you can discover many nocturnal animals unique to Australia. Tickets are $25 for adults and $12.5 for children. The entire park can be visited in about 1 hour, see Figures 5-8. Before entering the park, pay attention to the time of bird shows and don't miss it. The keepers would throw food into the air, and a few birds would spread their wings gracefully and fly over our heads, eating the food quickly and accurately, like an air force flight show. There is also an unknown bird that can pick up stones in its mouth and use them to smash ostrich eggs to eat. It seems that primates are not the only species that can use tools. You can learn about the desert ecosystem, watch rare animals such as kangaroos and emus, and participate in activities such as desert hiking, bird watching, and star observation. [Two] Alice Springs Telegraph Station Historic Reserve [Tent]: Built in 1872, it is the original site of the first European settlement in central Australia, where you can learn about the history of early telegraph communications. [Three] Royal Flying Doctor Service Alice Springs Visitor Facility and Museum: Learn about the history and contributions of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, an organization that provides medical services in remote areas. Alice Springs Reptile Centre: There are various reptiles, and the explanations are interactive, and some animals can be touched. There is also the ANZAC Hill Observation Deck: overlooking the entire Alice Springs city area, it is a good place to watch the sunset 🌇. [Cutlery] Food Recommendations ~Kangaroo🦘meat: The meat is firm and tastes similar to beef🥩. It can be fried, roasted, or stewed. ~Emu meat: low in fat, high in protein, delicious, often cooked by grilling or frying. ~ Desert fruits: such as finger limes, desert raisins, etc., have a unique taste and can be eaten fresh or made into jam [Ice Cream] or desserts.
