Hangzhou Yongfu Temple is located at the foot of Shisun Peak, about one li west of Lingyin. It has a history of more than 1,600 years since it was founded by Zen Master Huili in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. The temple's architectural complex rises from the mountain and is divided into five open courtyards: Puyuan Jingyuan, Jialing Lecture Hall, Ziyan Huiyuan, Guxiang Chanyuan, and Fuquan Tea House. It has seven courtyards, five halls, three halls, two pavilions, two towers, five pavilions, and more than a thousand ancient trees. It is one of the largest temples in Hangzhou.
