Kameyama Hachimangu Shrine
Kameyama Hachimangu Shrine, located in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, is one of the oldest shrines in Shimonoseki. It was founded in 859 and enshrines a deity from Usa Shrine in Usa City, Oita Prefecture. Due to the similarity in pronunciation between 'fugu' (pufferfish) and 'happiness' in Japanese, there are two pufferfish statues placed next to the shrine, symbolizing happiness 🐡🐡.
The main hall of the shrine is adorned with various wind chimes, producing a clear and soothing sound that brings a sense of peace and comfort 🥰. Next to the main hall, there are amulets available for visitors to purchase 🥰. This shrine is worth visiting to pray for warding off evil, fulfilling wishes, safe childbirth, prosperous business, and household peace 🙏.
