We started the day with breakfast at ▶️ Nam Kopitiam, a charming cafe that blends the nostalgia of a traditional Chinese kopitiam with a modern twist. We ordered several of their signature dishes, including Nam's Signature Chilli Pan Mee, Signature Curry Mee, Mee Siam, and Kaya & Butter Toast, all paired with aromatic local coffee. It was the perfect way to fuel up for another day of food hunting. After breakfast, we headed to ▶️ Otak-Otak Cheng Boi, one of Muar's most famous otak-otak producers. We couldn't resist bringing home some frozen pre-packaged otak-otak as souvenirs for family and friends. Since we were nearby, we also took some time to stroll around ▶️ Maharani Mural Lane, where colorful street art and murals provided plenty of great photo opportunities and added a cultural touch to our foodie adventure. For lunch, we visited ▶️ Mee Bandung Udang Galah Muo Ori, a popular spot known for one of Muar's most iconic dishes. We ordered three large bowls of Mee Bandung Udang Galah to share among the five of us. The rich, flavorful broth combined with fresh river prawns made it a truly satisfying meal and a must-try for anyone visiting Muar. Later in the afternoon, we slowed down the pace with a relaxing coffee break at ▶️ Jenna Rose Coffee & Cakes. The cozy atmosphere, delicious cakes, and freshly brewed coffee made it the ideal place to unwind and escape the afternoon heat while enjoying good conversations with friends. To conclude our foodie journey, we had dinner at ▶️ Xi Le Restaurant. The highlights of the meal were undoubtedly their succulent Signature Soy Sauce Chicken and the unique Roasted Guinness Char Siew. Both dishes were packed with flavour and provided a memorable finale to our culinary adventure. Overall, every meal throughout our trip was a delightful experience and showcased why Muar is widely regarded as one of Malaysia's top food destinations. For lunch, we visited the popular Sai Kee Kopi 434 Muar, a must-visit spot for both locals and tourists. We ordered their signature Nasi Lemak with Otak-Otak, the famous Mee Bandung, and traditional Kaya & Butter Toast paired with a cup of aromatic 434 coffee. The combination of classic local dishes and rich coffee made for a satisfying and memorable meal. Dinner was another highlight of the day at Merlin Asam Fish Restaurant, one of Muar's most popular seafood restaurants. We ordered a feast that included Asam Golden Snapper, Sambal Sotong Petai, Dragon Tongue Fish, and Fried Oyster Cakes again 😋. Among all the dishes, my personal favorite was the flavorful Asam Fish. The balance of spicy, tangy, and savory flavors was simply outstanding and perfectly complemented the freshness of the seafood. This hidden gem is actually hiding behind the Daily OtAk otak shop and it's a really nice place for the photo. Gentle reminders don't drive in , you can park outside in front of the daily otak otak. Boss has told us that this place before turning into a photo place actually is a manufacturer of otak otak, previously they had a lot of staff grilling otak otak and now they have improved it. Now they are using machines and just one staff member is doing this. Love the little cozy place in small town Muar. The cakes taste so nice but not the Mille Crepes. Cakes price consider high in this small town. Cappuccino taste normal, tiramisu with liquor but I can't really taste the liquor in it. Price range was average. Nice ambient, soothing environment with lovely floral designs. Most of their cakes were delicious, some even with rum! I would recommend matcha or tiramisu. One of the best dessert shop in muar. Definitely will be visiting back again! The owners are 70+ years old Chinese couple, they serves simple traditional Malaysian breakfast like; Kaya + butter toast(charcoal toasted), Soft-boilded eggs, ready packed Nasi Lemak and of course the nice coffee! A historical museum with loads of information located in a refurbish colonial building. The museum located next to Sg Muar, within Muar district - an hour drive or 54km away from Muar town. The museum has become a referance spot for local historical enthusiast. The existing building was used to be a police post, burnt down in year 1950. The 2 story museum consists of information board about the building, a reenacted melodrama of the typical police post in the old days, its barrack and family living room reminds us of the old good day. The museum also act as a memorial to those affected by the incident happened. The decor of a typical living room of Malaysia family in the 70's will caught your eye as the furniture was kind of not in existance anymore. Free to enter, come during durian session and can enjoy durians along the way enroute to the museum, and with a stop at the cendol stall - it should complete your brief getaway. #johor #muar

Muar Glutton Street is a 100 metre stretch along Jalan Haji Abu with Jalan Meriam at the northern end and Jalan Ali in the south. (Hence, it is also referred to as Food Street Jalan Haji Abu.) There are some two dozen food stalls at Muar Glutton Street. They open for business at different times of the day and have different off days. Let's take a walk with me down Jalan Haji Abu.
