Havelock Island in the Andaman Islands feels like a place made for couples and slow days. For me, it has some of the cleanest beaches in all of India — wide, calm, and almost untouched. Mornings start with soft blue light, and sunsets melt into pink and pastel tones that don’t even need filters.

The island is generally peaceful, perfect if you want to disconnect and just exist — walking barefoot, swimming, watching the sky change colors. You can rent cozy bungalows for around 2000 INR per night, which is quite affordable for an island destination. However, finding accommodation with a kitchen is nearly impossible.

One honest downside: food. Fruits and vegetables are often low quality, restaurant food is very basic, and seafood is surprisingly expensive — even though Havelock is famous for tuna. Fresh fish is usually only available in cafes and restaurants, not markets.

Still, if you’re traveling as a couple or looking for a calm, romantic escape with breathtaking nature, Havelock has a quiet magic that stays with you long after you leave.
