Miluo Quzi Cultural Park
Quzi Cultural Park is located in Quzi Temple Town, Miluo City, Hunan Province. It is a park built to inherit and spread Qu Yuan culture.
The Quzi Cultural Park covers an area of 10 square kilometers and is divided into the Quzi Temple core scenic area, the Dragon Boat Festival cultural experience area, the Dragon Boat Festival cultural industry area, the Dragon Boat Festival cultural folk area, the Qu Yuan Tomb protection area, and the Miluo River Wetland protection area.
The core scenic area of Quzi Temple includes two major buildings: Quzi Temple and the rebuilt Quzi Academy. Founded in the early Song Dynasty, Quzi Academy has a history of more than a thousand years. It forms a whole with Quzi Temple on the banks of Miluo River. They have moved several times in history, but they have always been together. After the founding of New China, Quzi Academy was converted into a school and was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution.
The reconstruction of Quzi Academy with a total investment of nearly 200 million yuan is the core project of Quzi Cultural Park. It covers an area of 140 acres and has a main building area of 14,118 square meters. The main construction contents include the academy auditorium, lecture hall, teaching room, library, sacrificial hall, Qu Yuan Research Institute, etc. However, when I visited it today, except for one staff member in a small cultural and creative shop, the entire academy was really deserted.
