Exploring the paradise, encountering the fairyland in Daciyuan Scenic Area
In the beautiful Daciyuan Scenic Area of our country, I spent an unforgettable day. In the morning, the sun was shining on the mountains, the air was fresh, and I started my journey with anticipation.
As soon as I entered the scenic area, I was attracted by the natural scenery here. Along the way, the quaint houses, lush trees, and winding mountain roads form a beautiful landscape painting. Taking the sightseeing bus in the scenic area, I came to a higher altitude, where I can overlook the beautiful scenery of the entire Xinye Village.
Next, I challenged the steep cliff plank road. Walking along the plank road, I felt the magic of nature. Beside me is the green cliff, under my feet is the leisurely valley, and occasionally I can see a few magpies flying happily on the plank road. At the end of the plank road, I encountered the Hanging Temple, a half-embedded in the mountain and half-hanging in the air, which can be called a miracle.
During the tour, I also tasted the local special dishes. The dishes with good color, fragrance and taste made me memorable. In addition, the Zen atmosphere in the scenic area also made me feel the tranquility of my soul. Walking on the clean mountain road, listening to the melodious bell, as if in a fairyland.
In the evening, I stayed in a homestay in the mountains. When night fell, the stars filled the sky, making me intoxicated with this wonderful natural scenery. The next day, I also participated in the expansion activities in the scenic area, such as rock climbing and speed descending, fully feeling the vitality and charm of Daciyuan.
The trip to Daciyuan made me deeply feel the magic and beauty of nature. In the future, I will cherish these beautiful memories and continue to explore the magnificent rivers and mountains of our country.

Jiande | Off-the-beaten-path leisure travel in Zhejiang
Jiande may not be as popular as the nearby Qiandao Lake, Tonglu, or Fuyang, but if you want to avoid the crowds, Jiande is also a great choice.
So, a three-day, two-night leisure trip is arranged.
🚄🚕Transportation: Jiande is suitable for self-driving, but if you don't want to drive yourself, you can also take the high-speed train + taxi. Ride-hailing is easy, and the taxi fare for three days is about 450 yuan.
Xinye Ancient Village: It takes about an hour's drive from Jiande Station/Jiande City to get there. On Friday afternoon, there were hardly any tourists in the village, with less commercialization and many original residents still living there. With white walls and black tiles, horse-head walls, the village's architecture is scattered and orderly, with crisscrossing alleys; ancient pagodas, ancient houses, and ancient ancestral halls bring a sense of age to the village. This tranquil little village is like a paradise, and walking through it, you might think you've arrived in Huizhou. The downside is that it's quite far from Jiande City, but you can visit it together with the nearby Daciyan Scenic Area. The recommended playtime is 2 hours. (We took a taxi directly from Jiande Station to Xinye Ancient Village, and after visiting, we took a taxi back to Jiande City. It's advised to book the return trip in advance)
Yanzhou Ancient City (Meicheng Ancient Town): Meicheng in Jiande is an ancient town with a history of over 1700 years. Ancient residences, city walls, old archways, and delicious food seem to fulfill all expectations of an ancient town. It's very popular, with plenty to see and eat, nestled in the mountains and by the water, with beautiful scenery. The recommended playtime is 2-3 hours. (About 30 minutes by taxi from Jiande City)
Jiuxing Fishing Village: An ancient fishing village at the confluence of three rivers, it is said that Zhu Yuanzhang demoted the defeated troops of Chen Youliang to fishermen, forbidding them to live on land. These subordinates mainly consisted of nine surnames. Unique cultural customs and historical background add a touch of mystery to the village. There's a parking lot at the entrance to the fishing village where external vehicles are not allowed, but there's a shuttle bus that offers free rides into the village. Inside the village, there are art galleries, homestays, coffee shops, farm restaurants, high-altitude drifting, and more. Because it's located at the confluence of the Xin'an River, Fuchun River, and Lanjiang River, the scenery is amazing, and the sunset is beautiful on a clear evening. Xin'an River Greenway: When visiting Jiande, you must experience the 17-degree summer on the trails along the Xin'an River. There's a long greenway along the river, and we stayed near the Baisha Bridge. In the morning or evening, you can witness the Baisha mist by the river, which is very refreshing when it hits your face, like opening a refrigerator in the summer.

Xinye Village, or in Chinese it’s read as Xinyecun, is located in western Zhejiang Province, in the. The village is traditional and very untouched by tourists who come to visit, making it very special place. If you visit, you can also stay in one of the homestay available within this traditional village, so you will wake up in the morning with this view! Xinye is also known for holding ancestor worship ceremonies on the annual Shangsi Festival, but unfortunately when I visited, it wasn’t being held. 2️⃣ Want to save money? Theoretically, there's no charge for not entering the small attractions, you can try other entrances to the village, or show off your Cultural Tourism Benefit Card to enter the village and enjoy the beautiful scenery for free.

If you can't get rich overnight, then freely wander in the ancient village of Xinye
I learned about Xinye ancient village from the variety show 'Where Are We Going, Dad?', and I really like and long for this kind of idyllic rural life. However, the 68 yuan ticket price scared me away. This time, when I went to Jiande to experience the 'smoke and islets' town from Tang poetry, I discovered that Xinye was nearby, so I finally arranged a visit.
Researching travel tips before setting out is quite useful. In fact, you don't have to buy a ticket if you don't enter the small scenic spots, but you can't enter through the main gate. Park your car near the Xishan ancestral hall, where there is no parking fee, and from there you can walk into the village.
Every ancient village has a large pond, from which many alleys diverge. Walking among them is like chasing the stories of time. There are not many tourists, and most of the original residents are elderly. Nantang, Tuanyun Tower, old houses and deep lanes, bluestone roads, and those leaf-shaped door latches are the real characteristics and highlights. The ancient village, over eight hundred years old, with its original residents living inside, is natural and serene.
The places that charge fees are just some old houses, which, after seeing many, all look similar, so there's no need to go inside for a visit. What I can't understand is why good things have to be fenced off and charged for. If it were free, it would naturally attract people, and with tourists, there would be a need for food and accommodation, and they would buy some local products. Wouldn't that earn more? The shortsighted behavior of some is really detestable.
The village has farm stays and snacks, so there's no need to worry about food. From mid-March, the rapeseed flowers are in full bloom, which is also the most beautiful time for Xinye ancient village. It's time to set off!

Jiande Yunman Songjian Hot Spring Meisu Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Sleeping in a 700-meter mountain top private hot spring beauty lodge, surrounded by mountains and seas of clouds, how delightful it is
Hidden in the clouds and pines, Yunman Songjian is located at the top of the wild cherry hill at an altitude of 700 meters in Jiande Bayi Muqiu, growing among the pines and clouds. It's about an hour's drive from the high-speed rail station, and it's only about 2 hours' drive from Hangzhou city! Even the Zhejiang TV program 'There are Poems and Distant Places' crew came here to shoot.
Design
The homestay is transformed from several earth houses in the deep mountains. The picky owner specially invited a professional design team from China Academy of Art. The old earth walls are embedded with glass doors and windows that protrude outward, modern and fashionable. The confrontation and fusion of the new and the old have rejuvenated this originally dilapidated old house.
Room
The 800-acre Yunman Songjian has only made 15 guest rooms, named respectively: Maple Dance, Lake View, Pine Shadow, Forest Exploration, Fan Sitting etc. Whether it's layout, details, lighting, every room's quality is impeccable. For example, the tree house we stayed in is called 'Listening to the Waves', imaginatively telling the unique scenery here. The interior decoration of the room integrates modern design while retaining the original sense of rammed earth architecture, with wood color and pure color as the main tones. The bedding is all selected from five-star hotels, the mattress uses the same model as the luxury hotel in Shanghai Disneyland, the towels, wash bags and other toiletries are all designed by the owner himself, intelligent toilet, automatic curtains, high-end bathroom, you can have a super comfortable living experience in the countryside.

The restaurant is called 'Mountain Wild Food Bar', during the day, it has the purest natural food waiting for you to taste, at night, it transforms into a fashionable bar for you to have a drink. Meicheng Ancient Town Guide
○ Meicheng Ancient Town, also known as Yanzhou Prefecture City, is very suitable for a spontaneous weekend trip. The ancient town has no admission fee, and it is known as the 'Dali of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai'.
The town is not large, dominated by Huizhou-style architecture, and retains a large number of white walls and black tiles. Climbing up to the prefecture city wall, you can overlook the entire ancient town, and on the other side is the Xin'an River.
Gourmet's view of the ancient town's delicacies:
Tofu Bun 3 yuan
It doesn't have a strong tofu taste, but it is quite recommendable, with a slightly spicy Red Bean Cake 5 yuan
Initially thought it wouldn't be very tasty, but since I came, I had to try it in keeping with the scene, and it was surprisingly good, recommendable

The Severely Underestimated Ancient City of Jiangnan | Yanzhou
| Yanzhou. During the National Day holiday, my family set out from Xianlin in Hangzhou at 6:30 in the morning to visit the ancient city of Yanzhou in Jiande. We arrived at the parking lot after 8 o'clock and found that it was already quite full, a testament to its popularity. After playing for about three hours and having lunch, we headed back in the afternoon. Since my parents are older, we couldn't stay too long, but it was still a very worthwhile trip. We hope to come back again to visit the places we missed this time.
Yanzhou Prefecture was once as famous as Hangzhou Prefecture and Shaoxing Prefecture. Since its establishment as a county in the year 225, it has nearly 1800 years of history. The highlights of this trip include:
1. Ancient City Wall: The magnificent city wall, built in the 18th year of Muzhou, is located between the old town and the Xin'an River. The battlements are shaped like half a plum blossom, known from the saying 'Three and a half plum blossoms in the world, one in Beijing, one in Nanjing,' with the remaining half being in Meicheng;
2. Archways: Historically, Meicheng was very prosperous with bustling streets and many archways, at one time reaching over 100. The few remaining are said to commemorate the achievements of the Jiande Marquis in defending Yanzhou City, with inscriptions such as 'By Imperial Decree,' 'Bestowed by the Emperor,' 'Honored by Grace,' 'Sealed by Imperial Order'... Each archway has a history behind it, making the old town feel particularly weighty and significant;
3. Three Rivers: Located at the confluence of the Fuchun River, Xin'an River, and Lan River, with Wulong Mountain to the north and the mouth of the Three Rivers to the south. The scenery is beautiful, and from the city wall overlooking the Xin'an River, one can forget all worries;
4. Celebrity Check-ins: Du Mu, Fan Zhongyan, Lu You, and Liu Changqing all served as officials in Meicheng. Poets such as Xie Lingyun, Li Bai, and Meng Haoran also traveled through the landscapes here;
5. Zhejiang University's Westward Move: In December 1937, when Hangzhou fell to the enemy, Zhejiang University's first westward move was to Meicheng;
Food and Drink: The main street is quite crowded with tourists and local snacks that are rather commercial. We went to a clean and quiet noodle shop at the end of the street which was quite nice. We also brought back some beef sauce and fermented tofu, which tasted pretty good.
