Kyoto Eorzea cafe ff14
friends and I visited the pop up Kyoto final fantasy Eorzea cafe.
we loved that the cafe was Stormblood themed and the food was more seafood based. I am sad the pop up is closing soon as I would have loved to return again in future.
the capsule hotel is also Final Fantasy 14 themed and everyone who stays revives an exclusive keychain. as tempted as I was to book a room for the keychain...i was only in Kyoto for a day trip and the room would have gone to waste.

Kyoto Vibes
The cool weather mixed with sunny warmth makes for an amazing time in the city. Tucked away in little alleys amazing restaurants ushering in anxious fans. Pop up bars on top of rooftops serve Mango 🥭 mojitos to cool down after a day of walking. Speakeasy bars hidden away from curious eyes. For those foodies book a 1/1 meal with local chefs as they wow you with wagyu beef and fusions beyond your wildest imaginations. Highly recommend spending a few days in this place as it gives you the city life without the city noise.#kyoto #foodie #sakura #trip
Kyoto Ushimitsu
Kyoto Ushimitsu is a compact eatery serving gyuniku gozen (beef set meals). Their most popular set meal (the niku mabushi) is served in a wooden rice bowl, topped with medium rare beef.
It may be eaten in three ways: 1) turn over the rice bowl and scoop some of Niku Mabushi into it. Eat the first few bites without any condiments. 2) try adding various condiments to experiment with alternative flavors. Condiments are: Sakura Shio (salt), fried garlic, and Black Shichimi (seven-flavor chili pepper). 3) prepare a rice porridge called ochazuke. take the small soup bowl and pour the savory beef soup it contains over the ochawan containing some of the meat and rice. Mix in the wasabi, chopped scallions and seaweed to turn it into a tasty porridge.

My first but not last trip to Japan 🇯🇵
I recently travelled to Japan for 3 weeks on Language Exchange!! Here are some of the beautiful scenery in Osaka and Kyoto 🫶
When I arrived I remember thinking 'Japan is 90% wires' , I have some pics to prove it! I stayed in the beautiful region of Shiga Ken where I got to experience daily Japanese life with my amazing and caring host family! They took me to all the local spots for food and I was able to do activities I might not have got to if I was a tourist! I truly recommend an experience like this if you learn ANY language, not just Japanese!!
I didn't manage to visit anywhere else since I was on language exchange primarily but I will definitely next time! #japan #kyoto #landscapes #photography #mountainview

Universal Studios Japan Travel Recommendations for 2023 (Updated in Sep)
Come here if you are Harry Porter fans
We were very lucky to come to Universal Studio Japan on a sunny day.
Come to The Wizarding World of Harry Porter first if you are a fan and you can take the ride without long wait.
What impressed us the most was the magnificent reproduced castle, making it look like the story come alive. You can definitely immerse yourself in the world that you saw in the movie or read in the book.

Scream and Shout at USJ, Osaka
#exploreasia
Osaka is on my list for this year trip. The focus is to have a scream and shout session visiting amusement park and one of it is Universal Studio Japan. It has always been on my list especially after knowing the existence of Super Nintendo World.
Do come early an hour cause if you are lucky, u will get early entrance prior the official opening time.
Tickets are sold around RM 250 per pax.
1st time experiencing Japanese theme park
Universal Studios Japan (Osaka)
This has been on my children’s bucket list for the longest time!!
The trip was planned in less than 3 months, so tickets were not easy to get by the time we had finalised the flights & dates.
An error in the booking date had me $300 poorer and failed to get the Nintendo timed tickets.
Thankfully, just being able to be at the Harry Potter world more than make up for it.
Both my children are already planning a return trip next year.

Who says Japan is just all about the sushi and the culture. Japan has also loads of fun filled places like Universal studios Japan located in Osaka where this is one of the 6 universal studios located world wide.
The park although open more than 20 years ago, it is well maintained and the props are ever changing. Unlike most of the Universal studios, Japan universal studios open late so that you can enjoy the night lights and the many photo taking spots! There is more than 10 over different zones but the most fun one for me is the super Nintendo world which is special to the Japan universal studios.

Tokyo Disneyland Travel Recommendations for 2023 (Updated in Sep)
Disney Magic at Tokyo Disneyland
#tokyotrip
Tokyo Disneyland is gorgeous.
Everything is extremely well-maintained.
All rides and attractions look and feel new.
Plan your route by studying queue times and the map and set the right expectation.
The night electrical parade is prettier compared to the day parade. And queue for the rides during the parade are shorter.
Enjoy the beautiful park, have fun wearing different merchandise and stuff yourself with their famous popcorns of different flavours.
Although we don’t speak Japanese we didn’t feel like we missed out on anything.
Amazing lunch-Crystal Palace Disneyland Tokyo
#tokyotrip
When in Tokyo, we managed to make reservations for the highly-raved buffet lunch at Crystal Palace in Disneyland Tokyo and it was amazing!
There was a huge variety of dishes including Disney themed desserts, and being buffet style, it was all you can eat! The food choices were delicious and there was also a nice selection of beverages!
Highly recommended to make advance reservations as there’s always a long line waiting for tables!
After lunch, step right outside - you might be just in time to catch the Disney parade right at the doorsteps of the restaurant!
My rating of this restaurant: 4 ⭐️ out of 5!
DISNEYLAND TOKYO
📸Attraction Name: TOKYO DISNEYLAND (Tōkyō Dizunīrando)
📍Location : TOKYO Disney Resort, Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, Japan
🚏Best way to get there: Metro
Do you know that Tokyo Disneyland was the first Disneyland that was built outside the US? It has large outdoor spaces so it can accomodate large crowds. This park comprises of seven different themed areas. Just like any other Disney parks, it has four of the traditional lands namely Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Westernland and Advntureland. The other three are the World Bazaar, Critter Country and Toontown. There are large numbers of indoor and outdoor rides that you could try and many different interactive attractions that you can have fun with.

Magical Theme park to Visit!
The happiest place on Earth? It is definitely one of the places to visit! We took a break in between as it starts ro pour but once we came back, the queue got ALOT shorter and we realized that if you want to avoid the crowd, come when its about to close!
Prepare to wear proper footwear and bring a poncho along as there’s alot of walking and waiting and the poncho is for those wet rides (if its not raining). We were seated at the front for splash mountain and got drenched but we were prepared!

Tokyo Tower Travel Recommendations for 2023 (Updated in Sep)
Japan’s Eiffel Tower
Tokyo Tower is the second tallest structure in Japan and built in 1958. It looks like a red and white Eiffel Tower. We visited around sunset and caught some nice views of the city. There is also a glass floor that you can walk on and look down (not recommended for those scared of heights). You can purchase separate tickets to go up to the top floor. We grabbed dinner at the food court downstairs afterwards, which was convenient, and there were many souvenir shops too.

Tokyo Tower: Price, Hours and Tips
Tokyo Tower, one of the most iconic landmarks in Tokyo, Japan. Standing tall at a height of 333 meters, this impressive structure offers panoramic views of the bustling cityscape and beyond. As you plan your visit to Tokyo Tower, we have compiled some useful tips to enhance your experience.
📍 Location: 4 Chome-2-8 Shibakoen, Minato City, Tokyo 105-0011
💰 Price: The admission fee for Tokyo Tower varies depending on the observation deck you choose to visit. The Main Deck (150 meters) costs 1,200 yen for adults and 500 yen for children (4 to 6 year-old).
⏰ Hours: The main deck of Tokyo Tower is open daily from 9:00 am to 10:30 pm. The last admission is at 10:00 pm. However, the hours may vary on certain holidays or special occasions, so it's best to check the official website before visiting.
Tips:
1. Go early: Tokyo Tower can get crowded, especially during peak tourist season. To avoid the crowds, it's best to go early in the morning or in the late afternoon.
2. heck the weather: Tokyo Tower offers stunning views of the city, but visibility can be limited on cloudy or rainy days. Check the weather forecast before visiting to ensure the best viewing experience.
3. Explore the surrounding area: The area around Tokyo Tower is full of interesting sights and attractions, including the Zojoji Temple, Shiba Park, and the Roppongi Hills shopping complex. Take some time to explore the area and discover all that it has to offer.
4. Consider a guided tour: If you want to learn more about the history and significance of Tokyo Tower, consider taking a guided tour. There are several tours available that offer insights into the tower's design, construction, and cultural significance.
The Icon of Tokyo
In addition to the beautiful scenery that can be seen from inside, Tokyo Tower also has many facilities and shops inside. Open all year round; Tokyo Tower is an essential part of your Tokyo tour.
One of the factors that makes Tokyo Tower stand out in metropolitan Tokyo is its color. The bright 'red' color that is said to be used in the Tower is actually the color referred to as 'international orange'. Tokyo Tower uses this color to comply with aviation laws which state that dams above a certain height must use that color.
Another factor that makes Tokyo Tower stand out in metropolitan Tokyo is its daily light ups known as “landmark lights”. There are 180 lights in Tokyo Tower that will illuminate the tower every night from sunset to midnight.

Mount Fuji Travel Recommendations for 2023 (Updated in Sep)
Hunting for Mt. Fuji Day
#exploreasia
Mount Fuji is a breathtaking destination which is right at the top of many visitors’ bucket lists. To save our time for this day trip, we are taking Fuji Excursion train from Shinjuku Station (Tokyo). It connects directly to Mount Fuji which saves travelers a great deal of time as well as the hassle of making multiple changes. Since there is heavy snow a night before our trip to Kawaguchiko, we thought we never get a chance to see the Mount Fuji. But, we are so lucky as it shows up after the sun is rising.

Catch A Glipse Of Mount Fuji
#tokyotrip #mountfuji #mtfuji #japan #mountain #roadtrip #picturesque
Mount Fuji is the most talked and well known mountain in Japan where both locals and foreigners talk about as this is the tallest mountain situated in Japan and known for its amazing cone like shape especially during clear skies. During summer, you are able to catch a glimpse of the snow capped mountains making this a beautiful sight to see.
There are many areas to catch a glimpse of this mountain, from Hakone, Oishi Park, Lake Kawaguchi and many more. Everywhere u go, as long as the terrain is flat around you, somehow you are able to catch a glimpse of Mt Fuji, it seems like the mountain follows you. A beautiful sight to see.
Mt Fuji Trip 29 Dec 2022
Took the 7am Limited Express from Shinjuku to Otsuki station, then made a transfer to Fujikyu Train to Shimoyoshida. While concentrating on taking videos, we accidentally alighted one station earlier which took an extra 10mins of walking distance to reach Arakurayama Sengen Park. You have to take 400 steps to reach to the top but the views in between are also very beautiful. The sky was very clear and we could see Mount Fuji very clearly. We reached the top at 9.45am and went back to station to take 10.40am train to Kawaguchiko Stn.
It was quite cold when we reached Kawaguchiko at 10.55am. The sightseeing bus (red line) that goes to Natural Living centre has a long queue and we only managed to board the bus at 2nd round. The train frequency is 20mins and we arrived at Oshi Park at 11.45am. We took our Ice Cream and breakfast at the 2nd floor of the cafe while enjoying the great view of Mount Fuji. However, the sunlight was too strong so we couldn’t really keep our eyes open.
Due to traffic jam, the red bus came 5 mins late and we arrived at Kawaguchiko stn 15mins late. We didn’t managed to catch the bus that we originally planned for and had to wait 30mins for the next bus to go to Oshino Hakkai. I think the traffic was quite heavy today so the bus also arrived at the destination at about 15mins late. Luckily, this is a very small village which we could easily reach the sightseeing spots within a 5 mins walk. The water is really clear so you can see the reflection of Mount Fuji in the lake. Bought the 2nd ice cream of the day and enjoyed the local foods (mochi and sweet potatoes) while walking.
The last stop for today was Gotemba Premium Outlet. We reached there 4.30pm, had 2 hours shopping and took the 6.25pm bus to Gotemba then Mishima Stn. Took Shinkansen back to Tokyo at 9.15pm. With JR pass, it cost us around SGD40 transportation for the whole trip.#mout fuji
Enjoy a refreshing soak in the hot springs of Hakone, Japan - Lake Ashi and Lake Kawaguchi offer stunning views of Mount Fuji.
Near Tokyo, Japan, is the town of Hakone, which can be reached by taking the JR train. Hakone is a great place to soak in hot springs ♨️, with hotels and guesthouses of all sizes offering their own hot springs. We booked a hot spring hotel package with excellent service, and could soak in the hot springs both morning and night. The pools in the morning and evening were different, and we could enjoy the view of Mount Fuji and the surrounding scenery while soaking in the hot springs. It was a true luxury.
Lake Ashi is peaceful and beautiful, and Lake Kawaguchi reflects Mount Fuji. When you wake up in the morning, clouds float over the top of Mount Fuji like a fairyland.
