This is a newly opened hotel under the 7x7 brand. We were incredibly lucky to be assigned room 904! The room faces Mount Fuji, offering stunning views from both the bed and the bathroom!! The room is a spacious tatami room and a Western-style room!! You can easily lay your suitcase out!! The bathroom has two sinks, a washing machine with a dryer, laundry balls, a kitchenette with dishes and a microwave. Perfect for friends and families!! The price is also very reasonable! We booked two nights for two people for less than 60,000 yen! (Booked two months in advance!!) It's about a 10-minute drive from Gotemba, highly recommended for those going to Gotemba Premium Outlets! There's a sauna (for a fee) and a free gym on the first floor. The gym seems special; the oxygen levels are set according to the high-altitude oxygen levels, doubling the workout effect. If you're interested, you can check it out. The two of us were completely out of breath after just 10 minutes of exercise! 🤣 However, since there aren't many good restaurants nearby, I suggest eating your fill at Gotemba Premium Outlets before coming back. Summer in Japan showed me the best of both worlds—Tokyo’s city buzz and Hakone’s calm onsens with Fuji in view. Travel light, take the rail pass, and leave space for surprises. The magic is in slowing down and living each moment Here's a detailed Tokyo → Mt Fuji → Hakone 3-Day Trip ✨ After a fun day at Tokyo Disney, I went to Shinjuku Station and took the Odakyu Romancecar straight to Gotemba Station. Stayed at Hotel Clad Gotemba — loved the Mt Fuji view room! It comes with free public onsen access and is only 3 mins walk to Gotemba Premium Outlets. There’s a complimentary shuttle bus between the outlet and Gotemba Station (do check the timing!). Gotemba sits nicely between Mt Fuji and Hakone, making it a great base. Day 1: Arrived in Gotemba, checked in, relaxed at the hot spring, and shopped at the outlets. Day 2: Spent the whole day at Mt Fuji. I used the Fuji-Hakone 3-Day Pass — it covers buses, subways, and entrances to many attractions in both areas. Make sure to catch the last shuttle bus back to the hotel! Day 3: Checked out and used the hotel’s luggage delivery service to send my bags back to Tokyo (super convenient!). Then enjoyed a full day in Hakone before heading back to Tokyo with the same pass. After realizing we couldn't see Mount Fuji from the Nikawa Watch Shop, we decided to head straight to Gotemba, where we could enjoy a close-up view of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mount Fuji 🥳 Gotemba Premium Outlets is Japan's largest outlet mall in terms of area, featuring a wide variety of brand stores. However, having just returned from an outlet shopping spree in Hawaii, the discounts here didn't feel as impressive. We wandered around for less than half an hour before deciding to find a restaurant to eat 😂 Gyukatsu Motomura seemed quite popular, and since there was no line, we took a number and were seated right away! The restaurant only serves fried beef cutlet set meals, available in three sizes. We ordered the sets with one and two pieces of beef cutlet. Our meals were served in less than ten minutes 👍 The set meals were quite hearty, with various side dishes included. One highlight was the delicious grated yam served with barley rice, which you can get a free refill of! The fried beef cutlet is cooked to medium rare, but you can use the hot stone on the table to heat it to your preferred doneness. Even when cooked to well-done, the beef remains incredibly tender and delicious! This was my first time trying fried beef cutlet, and it exceeded my expectations. The only downside was the strong smell of oil in the restaurant, which was a bit overwhelming. When arriving at 8:30 on the day, we were told the earliest bus was at 10:15. 🗻Second stop: Mt. Fuji Run - Gotemba Outlet: You can walk from Asama Shrine to Mt. Fuji Run and enjoy unobstructed views of Mt. Fuji, combined with traditional Japanese two-story detached houses, perfect for photo lovers and leisurely walkers. Take the bus before Mt. Fuji Run (IC cards can be used), passing through Kawaguchiko and Yamanakako, and arrive at the last stop, Gotemba Run. You can take a free shuttle bus to the outlet. 🛍️Third stop: Gotemba Outlet Shopping There is a QR code to scan at the shuttle bus drop-off point. Certain stores offer an additional 5% discount for purchases over 11,000¥. Gotemba is vast and mainly divided into three major areas, so it is recommended to find the brands you are interested in first to avoid wasting time! *Pay attention to the big sale times on the official website for better discounts. 🍢Fourth stop: Shinjuku Torikizoku Yakitori Gotemba Outlet is open until 8 PM. Take the shuttle bus back to Gotemba Run and then return to Shinjuku (about 2 hours). It’s perfect to eat at Torikizoku, which is within a 5-minute walk from the station, and experience Japanese yakitori culture before taking the last train at midnight back!

Buy can not get your hands can immediately go back to the hotel to put down and fight, super convenient ~ and every room overlooks Mount Fuji (if the weather is good), we are lucky to hit the sunny day, in the morning as soon as we open the window to see the "Fuji Mountain" full view, crazy check-in! ♨️ The hot spring is super amazing Although not very big, the open-air bath overlooks Mount Fuji! Soaking in the hot spring at dusk to watch the sunset + mountain view is really healing ~ After soaking in the hot spring, drink a cold Yakudo, cool! 🍴Breakfast is very rich The buffet breakfast has Japanese and Western options, with freshly fried tamagoyaki and Shizuoka Prefecture-produced honeydew melon! The bakery area also offers French bread from the popular Outlet shop "Briant", where you can make your own honeydew sandwich (a hidden way of eating taught by the Japanese). 💡Tips 1. I must say… 🚌travelling around with the sightseeing pass was easy. You can get a map at Kawaguchiko station then decide which location you would like to visit. Here are the 2 passes! 1️⃣ The north area pass covers Lake Kawaguchiko, Lake Motosu, Lake Saiko and Lake Shoji. 2️⃣ The east area pass covers Lake Yamanakako. You can purchase the passes at the counter or via Japan Transit app! It is a series of five waterfalls that flow down a lava cliff about 100 meters wide and 12 meters high, and is designated as a natural monument of Shizuoka Prefecture. There is also a suspension bridge, and you can view the waterfall from it, which is recommended☺️ The third is Komakado Wind Cave✨ This tunnel was created by the eruption of Shin-Fuji about 10,000 years ago, and you can enter it about 150m deep. Booked an hour private room outdoor onsen in Hotel Clad. Cost is 70k Yen per hour. Have to make reservations as the private onsens rooms are limited. You dont have to be hotel guests to use the onsen. The room is spacious and clean. There is a dining area in the room, so you can order food to have it there after the hot bath. Went at night, is so dark that I can't see any view. Hope to go back again and dip in the onsen during the daytime!
