[Gatton, Australia] About an hour's drive from Brisbane 🚗 A hidden gem of a rural town where you can enjoy the starry sky and local pubs 🇦🇺
🇦🇺 A short trip from Brisbane to a rural Australian town.
I visited Gatton in Queensland, Australia. 🌿
It's about an hour to an hour and a half drive from Brisbane. It's a town with a peaceful, quintessential Australian landscape, quite different from the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast.
This time, I stayed one night at a motel in town and enjoyed the local atmosphere!
🌳 ① A drive through Australia's vast natural beauty
The road to town is filled with expansive nature!
Away from the skyscrapers and hustle and bustle of the city, you can enjoy scenery surrounded by blue skies and greenery.
Rather than visiting tourist spots, Gatton's charm lies in enjoying the simple, unassuming scenery itself.
🥩 ② Australian steak at a local hotel!
For dinner, I went to the restaurant at the town's hotel.
I ordered a hearty, Australian-style steak 🥩
It was a satisfying dish, served with plenty of french fries and salad!
There was also a pub next to the hotel, which was a great place to enjoy Australian beer 🍺
It was a chance to experience local Australia, unlike the trendy restaurants geared towards tourists.
🏡 ③ Staying at a motel and relaxing
I stayed at a simple motel.
The spacious room allowed me to relax and recover from the fatigue of driving.
It was a different kind of accommodation experience from city hotels, perfect for a road trip.
🌌 ④ An incredibly beautiful starry sky at night!
What particularly impressed me this time was the night sky.
In places with little light pollution, the sky was filled with stars ✨
Many stars are visible in the photos, a sight rarely seen in cities.
The small train station at dusk also had a great atmosphere, and I felt the beauty unique to a quiet town.

Royal Gaitor Tumbas
#travel
Tucked beneath the Nahargarh Fort in Jaipur, the Royal Gaitor, or Gaitor Ki Chhatriyan, is a stunning architectural gem and the final resting place of the Kacchwaha kings and princes. Often called the "royal tombs," this serene site offers a glimpse into the opulent history of the dynasty.
The chhatris, or cenotaphs, are exquisite structures, each a work of art in its own right. Crafted from a combination of white marble and ochre sandstone, they are adorned with intricate carvings depicting mythical figures, musicians, and royal processions. The cenotaph of Maharaja Jai Singh II, Jaipur’s founder, is particularly magnificent, with 20 towering columns that reflect the grandeur of his reign.
Beyond its historical and architectural significance, the Royal Gaitor offers a peaceful retreat. Surrounded by the Aravalli hills and enveloped in fresh, clean air, the site provides a tranquil escape from the city. Immaculately preserved, it invites visitors to experience both the splendor of Rajasthan’s royal past and the serene beauty of its natural surroundings.
