This time, I went to Ebina SA on the uphill side at 1:30 am on Sunday. Normally, you can only get to SAs on the highway, but Ebina SA is a Platt Park site, so you can visit without using the highway! Of course, you can also enter on foot! There is a dedicated parking lot (available 24 hours a day) very close to the Platt Park entrance. As it is one of the largest SAs in Japan, some stores are closed, but I still got the impression that souvenir shops and restaurants are quite open! I don't go on trips, but you can get souvenirs from the Kanto area even late at night, so I think it's very convenient when you suddenly need to prepare a gift! Great. Only 500 meters from Ebina Station. I was the only one enjoying the big bath in the photo. I was very satisfied with the buffet breakfast. The nearby coffee shop was very fashionable. I visited in the early afternoon and found a peach farmer from Yamanashi Prefecture setting up a direct sales stand. Freshly picked peaches with leaves still attached 🍑 I thought they'd be crisp because they were freshly picked, but they were perfectly ripe and sweet 🍑 I was touched by the gentleman who went out of his way to pick them for me, saying they looked cute with the leaves still attached. For the third night of my 3-night, 4-day trip to Tokyo, I have booked the Vista Hotel, located in Ebina, a small city in Kanagawa Prefecture, where Yokohama is situated. I have previously stayed at Vista hotels in Nagoya, Sendai, and Kanazawa. It is a select few with chains in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Sapporo, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Kumamoto, and other locations. It is a 5-minute walk from Ebina Station, which takes about 37 minutes from Shinjuku and 28 minutes from Yokohama. The reason I traveled all the way here, 46 kilometers from Shinjuku, is because Tokyo is simply too expensive. Here, a top-floor Deluxe Single room with breakfast included is in the 7,000 yen range. Even adding the 1,200 yen round-trip train fare to Tokyo, the total comes to 8,000 yen. I added value to the stay by planning the next day's itinerary starting from Ebina and proceeding in the order of Sagamihara, Hachioji, Musashino, and Tokyo. I departed from Chofu at 10 PM, checked in around 11 PM, and fell asleep. The bathroom features a three-tiered partition, and the sink is a silver tray. I noticed that this design was the same not only in the guest rooms but also in the lobby and restaurant. While there isn't much of a view from the window, it boasts an unobstructed view. The breakfast is also average. It is not as good as previous Vistas. Thank you.
