It is located in a quiet neighborhood, accessible by foot from the main city centre area, or by car and bus too. Inside, it provides a good selection of hot and cold drinks, including juices, coffee, teas and smoothies. There are also a variety of homemade pastries on offer here too! The surroundings are open plan and airy, and the furniture is comfortable and large, great for also doing some work on the computer. Wifi is fast and free to use. The Vietnam Street area is located in Dongxing City, southern Guangxi Province, on the Chinese side of the border with Vietnam, just adjacent to the main border gate itself. To get to Dongxing, you must take a train to Fangchenggang North train station, and then drive around one hour southwest from there to reach this city. Alternatively, you can drive from Nanning or Baise. The area itself is several blocks, connected by various narrow alleys that have a certain charm about them. Here, you will find various places to buy souvenirs, imported goods, furniture, as well as food and drink from across the border. It is a pleasant place to come for a walk and interact with the people selling things here, likewise for merchants, items can be bought here too. At the time of my visit, the border gate was still closed, however this is expected to change in early 2023...and I think this whole area will come to life even more! The best time to visit is late morning or early evening. Morning time for a nice coffee, and evening time for seeing the area lit up with lanterns.
