The people of Hezhou have their own little Jiangnan for dining, drinking, and entertainment (with prices attached)

The city is half filled with fireworks and half with celestial charm. I came across many disappointing experiences of Huangyao Ancient Town on social media, but I was determined to visit. Despite the rapid drop in temperature and the rain, I remained undeterred. I thought that would be the end of it, but the evening lights introduced me to Guangxi's little Jiangnan. The misty rain, the green river, the bonfires, and the red lanterns in the old alleys all contribute to a full Jiangnan atmosphere. Ticket price: 75 RMB per person. Boat ride: 20 RMB per person (30min), FREE bonfire to keep warm. Oil tea: 15.5 RMB for two servings, strong ginger flavor to ward off the cold. Fridge magnet: 10 RMB. Bing Mei drink: 60 RMB for two cups. Sour beef tripe: 50 RMB, not to my liking. Douchi powder: 8 RMB, not suitable for me. There are small fireworks for sale, and the atmosphere here at night is truly amazing.
