Geghard- Armenia

The monastery of Geghard is a renowned ecclesiastical and cultural centre of medieval Armenia, and after all one of my favorite places in Armenia since I was a kid. It is located in the Kotayk province of Armenia. Part of the monastery is carved out of the adjacent mountain surrounded by cliffs. it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site (with enhanced protection status). I’ve been here countless times but still ever time I visit Geghard I still enjoy it and adore the beauty of it. This place is 100% must see in Armenia 🇦🇲 If you are planning to travel to Armenia make sure that Geghard is on your list.
