Hi, dear friends! Today, I'm going to take you on a journey to explore the charm of Yangzhou. Follow me, and let's live life like a thousand springs and bright sceneries! As for transportation, there's no subway in Yangzhou, but you'll definitely see lots of little electric scooters on the streets. We can ride these scooters or take a taxi to easily navigate the city. Although there are many scenic spots, taxi fares usually start at 10 yuan, which is quite convenient. Regarding train stations, you have two options: Yangzhou Station and Yangzhou East Station, both not far from the city center, about 30 yuan by taxi, and buses are also a good choice. In terms of accommodation, I didn't stay next to the scenic area this time, so the price was quite affordable. A night's stay for over 200 yuan was enough, and it wasn't far from the attractions; just hop on an electric scooter and you're ready to explore. When it comes to food, you really have to savor it. First, I must recommend 'Simple Tea and Plain Rice', a small shop located on Guandong Street, which is truly delicious. Remember to try their Osmanthus Lotus Root Starch Balls, with a thick skin and sweet filling, and the distinct Yangzhou Fried Rice, which is simply amazing! Don't forget to try 'Yang's Yogurt', which is sold everywhere, but you know the prices in scenic areas are a bit higher. Don't pay seven or eight yuan for a cup when it's usually around 3.5 yuan in the city. My personal favorite is the little apple flavor, the fresh apple aroma mixed with yogurt is a sweet touch in the summer. Next up is the sweet rice cake, which might not look like much, but the taste is extraordinary, with a sweet flavor that foodies definitely shouldn't miss. The crab meat soup dumplings at Nan Zhi Yuan, in an antique setting, tasting a bite of the delicious dumplings, is simply a heavenly delight. There's also the pure mung bean cake and Chen's Duck Blood Vermicelli Soup, both authentic Yangzhou flavors, one dry and crispy, the other glossy and tempting. Of course, I must mention Ye Chun Tea House. Sitting in the middle of a lotus pond, sipping tea while enjoying the beautiful scenery, their Three-Ding Buns and Osmanthus Sugar Lotus Root are truly unforgettable. Ke Man Tang skewer hotpot offers so many varieties that it's dazzling, and two people can eat their fill for just over 60 yuan, making it super cost-effective! Finally, there's Qu Tea Handmade, after trying their Yangzhou special hand-beaten lotus root mochi, I was initially skeptical if it was some kind of dark cuisine, but once I tried it, oh my goodness, it was super delicious! For fun, Guandong Street and Caiyi Street are must-visit places. One has the charm of cheongsams, and the other is full of culinary temptations. Ge Garden and Slender West Lake are also not to be missed, especially Slender West Lake. Despite the hot weather, the scenery is definitely worth a visit.
