Yaowan Ancient Town

Yaowan Ancient Town is located in the southwest of Xinyi City, Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, at the intersection of the Grand Canal and Luoma Lake, at the junction of Pizhou, Suqian, and Suining three cities and counties, 30 kilometers away from the People's Government of Xinyi City. The history of Yaowan Ancient Town dates back to the Spring and Autumn period, and it was established in the first year of Wude of the Tang Dynasty (618 AD), with a history of more than 1400 years. The main attractions of Yaowan Ancient Town include Wu's Grand Courtyard, Zhao Xinlong Soy Sauce Shop, China Pawnshop Museum, Yaowan Folk Museum, Daqing Yaowan Post Office, Jiangxi Guild Hall, Shanxi Guild Hall, Suzhen Yang Guild Hall, Catholic Church, etc. The main specialties are mung bean liquor, Yaowan sweet oil, osmanthus cake, and more. Yaowan Ancient Town is known as 'looking east to the sea, west to Pengcheng, south to the Huai and Si rivers, north to Mount Tai,' and is known as the 'Golden Triangle of the Golden Waterway,' with the reputation of 'the waters of Northern Jiangsu surpass those of Southern Jiangsu' and 'Little Shanghai.'
