Maling River Canyon is located in the northeastern part of Xingyi City, Southwest Guizhou, with an altitude of 1200m and covers an area of 450 square km. The great rift in the canyon stretches over 70km, with a width of 50-150m and a depth of 120-280m. Maling River Canyon is known for its deep and rapid valley, woven cliffside vegetation, cascading silver waterfalls, and landscape features formed by crevice valleys, groups of waterfalls, and calcium carbonate wall hangings. It is renowned worldwide by the name 'Heavenly Trench and Earthly Crevice Valley of a Hundred Waterfalls' and has received numerous accolades such as 'The World's Number One Crevice', 'The Most Beautiful River and Mountains on Earth', and 'China's Number One Rafting Spot'. Maling River Canyon is a national 4A-level scenic spot and a national geological park. The Maling River Canyon combines grandeur, strangeness, danger, and beauty. It is a large rift valley deeply cut by orogenic movements, with groups of waterfalls flowing inside, bamboo hanging upside down, connected caves, and ancient trees and famous woods scattered on both sides, presenting a variety of forms. The most peculiar landscape is the group of calcified waterfalls, with deep valleys, rapid flows, numerous waterfalls, and well-preserved primitive ecology. The rock paintings are charming, forming the 'Southwest's Marvelous Crevice, a World Spectacle'. The Maling River Canyon scenic area is characterized by its magical crevices featuring thousands of peaks, islands, waterfalls, peculiar valleys, and colorful paintings, representing a concentration of multi-level karst landform landscapes.
