The small town of Tourtour in southern France | An unexpected romance

🌈How many people, like me, can't forget Provence because of 'Dream of Red Mansions', and after coming here, they have a deeper understanding that Provence is the most photogenic place in France, but the camera can't capture one-tenth of her beauty. 💟We came here because of the title of 'Hometown of Lavender'. Unfortunately, in Tourtour, which is located more than 600 meters above sea level and has ancient medieval castles and city walls, I didn't see a trace of lavender. But standing on the open square, bathing in the brilliant sunshine, overlooking the undulating valleys, still makes me feel comfortable. 🏡Tourtour is surrounded by pastures, grasslands and pine forests, with pleasant scenery in all seasons and various styles. Yellow buildings, compact streets, colorful doors, and ubiquitous fountains. The name Tourtour translates directly into tower, and there are still medieval towers, churches and castles in the town. Not only are there rugged mountains, green valleys and tranquil countryside, but also simple villages. The locals love to chat and have a passion that is completely different from Paris. When strolling in the town, strangers often greet with a smile. We didn't stay too long, on the nearly 2-hour journey to the hotel, the car kept winding on the mountain road, and I enjoyed a unique and irregular beauty: as wonderful as Van Gogh's paintings.
