Baphuon Temple in Angkor Thom

#weekendgetaways If you didn’t know, Angkor Thom is the ancient city that includes the Angkor Wat. There are quite a few other locations to visit when you walk around Angkor Thom, and this Baphuon Temple is one of them. It is slightly pyramid in shape in the sense that its base is large and it tapers towards the top. Except instead of a pointed tip at the top, it is a flat surface for this temple. I think it’s interesting how this temple was designed because they’d have these bridges that lead towards the temple. And this bridge is supported by many many stone pillars. And it just looks so grand!
