Yunnan Stone Forest

Known as the 'Number One Wonder of the World,' the Yunnan Stone Forest Scenic Area was once a vast ocean that has undergone long geological evolution to form an extremely precious geological relic - the essence of karst topography, which has been recognized by UNESCO as a 'World Geologic Park'. Visiting the Stone Forest takes at least half a day, usually by sightseeing car to enter the park, first walking through the Greater Stone Forest, which has many scenic spots around it and is also easy to get lost in, and finally leaving the park after visiting the Lesser Stone Forest, whose most famous scenic spot is the 'Ashima Incarnation' (see figure one), standing by the lake waiting for her Ahei brother, very charming and moving. The Stone Forest has various forms of limestone bodies, with strange shapes and densely packed into a forest. Being there, one can feel the incredible awe brought by the natural wonders of the world.
