Preparations for going abroad: For short-term trips abroad, you can buy a data SIM card. I bought one for 6 days and it cost 51.8. You get a free travel adapter when you buy a data SIM card, but if you have many devices to charge, you might want to bring your own power strip. You can buy a Tmoney card in advance online (I got mine from someone else, so it didn't cost me anything). It can be used for buses, subways, taxis, and shopping at convenience stores. You can top up your card at convenience stores and subway stations. After arriving in Korea, take the airport bus. The bus fare is a fixed charge of 17000, and you can pay by card or buy a ticket. In Korea, you must tap your card when boarding and alighting the bus. If you forget to tap, you'll be charged for the full journey (the base fare for both bus and subway seems to be 1250).
