A Hill out of Skulls?!

Despite the name, there's actually no skulls obvious on the hill itself heh but I will say that this is one of the must go places if you are going to Semporna due to the panaromic view it serves and its historical values if you're into that stuff. On the top you can see the Semporna district 360⁰. It was once a habitat for early human civilization, built upon the very hands of our ancestors, thus a great sense of history surrounds this hill. Once booming with life and activity, now reduced to a habitat for animals and tourists it holds a significant value to what humans was once were, how they lived and survived. If you really like history this is one of the hills that can give you a satisfactory result when visiting. Albeit, there's not much maintenance and funding to help the place grow. Staffs looked short-handed and stairs and pathway to the peak looks like it's about to fall apart any moment, quite sad given the stature of the hill. The museum itself isn't that big, a single room with analysis of early human civilization on that particular hill and others around it. The staff were friendly enough to help us throughout our visit but what really is the main selling point of this place is the view it provides when you arrive on the peak hut, it's truly majestic and breath taking. You can see almost every inch of Semporna there and if you love taking sceneric photos, I think you should give this place a visit. That's all, TL;DR beautiful scenery, view of Semporna and historical significance. Poor maintenance and an eerie pathway to the top with low level of crowds. #2023travelwish
