A Natural Wonder - Majestic Mount Bromo

#2024wish Our mother Earth boasts numerous natural marvels, and among them stands Mount Bromo. Soaring over 2300 metres above sea level, this active volcano is spectacular and attracts many tourists from all around the world to view it. We engaged in a local tour to bring us to the volcano and the vantage point they brought us to is Mount Penanjakan. We woke up during the wee hours of the morning to travel and trek up the mountain to see the sunrise. The sunrise over Mount Bromo is breathtaking! It is one of the most beautiful sunrises that I have ever witnessed. Depending on your fitness level, the trek to the top takes about 20-30 minutes. Embedded within the fabric of this grand geological formation lies a legend - a selfless brave prince who sacrificed his life to appease the God for his family. This myth has been interwoven into the culture of Tengger as during the annual Kasada festival, the people can be seen throwing offerings into the crater of the volcano. This is a once in a lifetime experience that I wish to go again in the near future!
