A luxurious retreat hidden on Naka Island in Phuket

Before going to Phuket, I spent a long time choosing a hotel. In order to truly experience the holiday atmosphere and stay away from the hustle and bustle of Patong Beach, I finally chose The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa. The entire stay was an extremely satisfying experience! 🏨 Hotel Environment: The Luxury Collection is on a separate small island, Naka Island, which is entirely the hotel's property. It was somewhat inconvenient to get there; first, we took a taxi to the pier, where the hotel's speedboat picked us up, and it took about ten minutes to arrive. After reaching the Naka Island pier, hotel staff welcomed us, conducted an island landing ceremony, and then explained the hotel's daily activities while we checked in. We finished checking in around three or four in the afternoon and went to have coconut ice cream (which was very rich and delicious). Since our room wasn't ready, the hotel offered us complimentary afternoon tea and a special drink. 🌟 Highlights: The hotel was previously known as Six Senses, and it's known for its rustic and primitive charm, giving it a secluded hermit-like feel. We decided to watch the sunset around 6:30 PM, but it started raining just before six, and I thought we wouldn't be able to see it. However, we were incredibly lucky as the rain stopped shortly after, and the sky cleared up. 👍 Most Recommended: The staff led us in a sunset ceremony, which was very ceremonial! After watching the sunset, you can take beautiful photos of the sunset on the beach in front of the swimming pool. 🍽 Dining Recommendations: There are three restaurants on the island: one for Western cuisine, one for buffet, and one for Thai food. It's best to book in advance. We went spontaneously and wanted to eat Thai food, but there were no seats available (we would have had to wait until after nine, and full booking suggests it must be good), so we ended up having Western food. 👍 Most Recommended: For fitness enthusiasts, the hotel gym is a must-try. The gym is two-storied, with equipment on one floor and cardio on the other. The equipment isn't plentiful and is somewhat old, but it's still okay for a simple workout. The next morning at 8:30, we participated in Pilates, which was very relaxing for both body and mind. There are also other activities like a morning run in Naka Village, paddleboarding, etc. Since we only stayed for one day, we didn't participate in many activities, but we'll come back next time.
