The Troublesome Journey to Jordan and Israel.

The Levant has always been known as the powder keg of the Middle East. Crossing the land borders of the Levant is no simple task. Passing through the Syria-Jordan border and the Jordan-Israel border really drained me. The drive from Damascus to Amman itself is only 3 hours, but due to strict security checks, it took me 8 hours to arrive. Going from the West Bank of Jordan to Israel was even more frustrating. I was stuck at the Israeli border for 5 hours, and they even checked my phone. Besides mental energy, exploring Petra and Jerusalem also requires physical strength, as both places are mountainous. But it was all worth it, because Jerusalem is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. It is the birthplace of Jesus and the Virgin Mary, the cradle of the three major Abrahamic religions, and the site of many glorious battles. As for Petra, it is purely astonishing.
