Old Sakuramiya Public Hall

In the vicinity of Osaka Castle, the main restaurant of the 91-year-old Old Sakuramiya Public Hall offers a French cuisine set meal from the early Meiji period. You can also learn about the oldest Western-style building in Osaka, the Senpukan, located next to the Old Sakuramiya Public Hall. This historic site is now a banquet hall, where the chef, after reading documents about Emperor Meiji's visit to Osaka, has recreated the delicious meals of that time. The menu includes lobster bisque (thick lobster soup), steamed salmon in aspic (herbed salmon with mayonnaise consommé jelly), red king crab à la baron (spider crab with creamed potato cake), beef tenderloin financière (beef fillet with red wine truffle sauce and mashed potatoes), and desserts.
