Ancient Town Tours around Xi'an

This ancient town should be considered the farthest one within Shaanxi Province. Its style is distinctly different from the ancient towns in Guanzhong and Ankang-Shangluo. It resembles the style of Sichuan ancient towns. The drive is quite long; one way is to drive to Ningqiang, then take a 100-kilometer mountain road. Another way is to take the highway from Guangyuan, which only involves a 30-kilometer mountain road. Qingmuchuan is basically well-developed commercially, with both new and old streets. Visitors usually choose to arrive on the same day and pick a quaint courtyard to stay in. There are plenty of places to play, and even just strolling around takes over two hours. The food leans towards Sichuan cuisine, with fish as the main feature. They also sell snacks like walnut buns, dried tofu, and other nibbles.
