Griffith Observatory

Black dome, white body, this building on the mountaintop of Griffith Park in Los Angeles is the Griffith Observatory. The land on which the park was built was donated by Welsh immigrant Griffith J. Griffith, who later donated $100,000 to build this observatory on the mountaintop. Los Angeles residents like to go to Griffith Observatory to see the night view.
