City Resort Experience Report, Kunming InterContinental Hotel Hot Spring Suite

I've visited Yunnan in winter several times, always passing through Kunming in a hurry. It wasn't until I stayed at the InterContinental Hotel by Dian Lake that I truly slowed down. In the winter of Kunming, most of the hustle and bustle comes from the red-beaked seagulls by the lake, and staying at this hotel offers the convenience of being close to the water. The hotel's name doesn't include the word 'resort,' but both the environment and the amenities exude a laid-back and relaxed atmosphere. There's a garden under the Haigeng Dam, surrounded by green trees, where you can enjoy the water, watch seagulls, sip tea, and step into the springs. The Black Pearl Restaurant offers all the details one would expect from a city resort, and this hotel, which knows the human heart well, arranges everything clearly. Upgrading to the hot spring suite, there are hardly any flaws except for slightly less natural light. A one-bedroom suite with two bathrooms and a large round bathtub, plus an outdoor courtyard with a hot spring pool. The spacious space brings mental relaxation; in the morning, sunlight filters through the trees, casting a mottled light and shadow into the room, where you can nestle in a lounge chair and while away the time with a cup of Kung Fu tea. At night, you can further relax your body and mind in the misty water waves accompanied by pleasant music. Such a lovely hotel is worth praising as it makes you immerse yourself unconsciously. The membership benefits also make the stay worthwhile: welcome gifts upon check-in, welcome fruit, welcome drinks at the lobby bar, snacks with the opening of the bed, and the feeling of being valued when asking for more. There's also the happy hour at the executive lounge, with strong offerings, a variety of hard dishes, daily special cocktails, which are more than enough for an evening meal. Finally, I want to thank the young lady who called me in advance and Mr. Li Linsong, the front office manager, for their attentive and personalized service, which made this trip to Kunming a special memory point that will shine in future recollections.
