Bangkok's Grand Palace is a must-visit, cloaked in its golden splendor

If you could only visit one place in the Grand Palace, it would undoubtedly be the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. According to the tour guide, wishes made here are always fulfilled, and many people return to give thanks. Upon entering, you are greeted by exquisite murals adorned with gold leaf (one section of which tells the story of the king rescuing his queen from the clutches of a demon). Looking up, massive statues stand guard in the corners, protecting this resplendent palace. At a glance, the overwhelming gold dazzles the eyes. The entire palace appears immensely tall and exudes an air of opulence.
