The ancient city walls of Ganzhou

The main attractions of the old city of Ganzhou also include the city walls built during the Northern Song Dynasty. To view the Ganzhou city walls, one should start from the Xijin Gate. Although the Xijin Gate was rebuilt during the Republic of China period, the connected city walls have been preserved. Ascend the city walls and follow the Zhang River to the Bajingtai, then from Bajingtai along the Gong River passing through Yongjin Gate, Jianchun Gate to the vicinity of Housheng Gate. This section has preserved four city gates, authentic and with minimal human interference, making it worth taking a full round. The Ganzhou city walls are a national key cultural relics protection unit.
