Trip to Dresden, Germany 🇩🇪

It was a trip to Dresden, Germany with family. We began our day at Zwinger Palace, a stunning Baroque complex with fountains, gardens 🌺 and ornate architecture that’s perfect for morning light. The Semper Opera House next door offers an impressive façade worth capturing. Finally, make your way to the Frauenkirche, where the intricate details of the reconstructed dome are particularly enchanting at sunrise ⛅️ around 8:00 AM, when the crowds are minimal. Zwinger Palace 📍Sophienstraße, 01067 Dresden Semper Opera House 📍Theaterplatz 2, 01067 Dresden We also explored Brühl’s Terrace, also called the “Balcony of Europe,” and it’s a must-visit for panoramic views of the Elbe River and Dresden’s skyline ✨ The combination of historic architecture and natural beauty is breathtaking. Late morning or early afternoon, around ⛅️ 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, provides ideal lighting for vibrant, well-balanced photos 📸 Brühl’s Terrace 📍Georg-Treu-Platz 1, 01067 Dresden The Fürstenzug (Procession of Princes) is a 102-meter-long porcelain mural depicting Saxony’s rulers 😍We loved capturing its intricate details, and the afternoon light enhances the golden tones of the tiles. Afterward, take a walk along the Elbe Riverbanks, where you can photograph the city’s skyline from a distance. We found sunset (around 4:30 PM in winter) to be the best time for vibrant colors in the sky 🙌 Fürstenzug 📍Augustusstraße, 01067 Dresden Elbe Riverbanks 📍Königsufer, 01097 Dresden We also wandered through Dresden Neustadt in the evening, where the mix of old and new architecture creates a unique charm ✨ Don’t miss the Golden Horseman, a gilded statue of Augustus the Strong. It looks stunning under soft twilight or even illuminated after dark. For some vibrant night photography 📸 the streets of Neustadt offer colorful murals and lively scenes.
