Located at the northeast corner of the Grand Palace in Bangkok, Wat Phra Kaew is one of Thailand's most famous Buddhist temples and one of Thailand's three national treasures. The Jade Buddha Temple is the most sacred place in Thai Buddhism. It is the guardian temple of the Chakuri Dynasty and the Huguo Temple. The Jade Buddha Temple built in 1782 is part of the Grand Palace of Thailand and covers an area of about 1/4 of the Grand Palace. The Jade Buddha Temple is a place where the Thai royal family worships jade Buddha statues and holds religious ceremonies. It is named after the temple dedicated to the Jade Buddha. Inside the temple are the Jade Buddha Hall, the First Wang Dian, the Buddha Bone Hall, the Tibetan Classic Court, the Bell Tower and the Golden Pagoda. Tickets for the Jade Buddha Temple are common to tickets for the Grand Palace.
