The southeast part is mainly mid-mountains with an altitude of over 1000 meters, gradually decreasing to low mountains and hills towards the northwest, until reaching plateaus at around 300 meters in altitude. It has a continental monsoon climate. The annual average temperature in the Changbai Mountain area is 2-6°C. The temperature decreases with the increase in latitude and altitude. The Changbai Mountain area has a dense river network, with four major water systems originating from it: the Songhua River, Tumen River, Yalu River, and Suifen River. Changbai Mountain culture is an integral part of Chinese culture, with rich connotations and broad extensions. It has excellent historical remains resources mainly concentrated in abandoned cities and settlement sites, military sites, ancient battlefields, transportation relics, and other major historical remains landscape cultural resources.
