Albania | A place where art is about to awaken

The bus from Montenegro to Albania gave me the impression of Chinese architectural style, which is due to the honeymoon period in the sixties and seventies when China supported this country with all its might. Many young kids might not know this, as it's not taught in textbooks. However, after China established relations with the US, Albania broke off its own ties. Now, after many ups and downs, it's eagerly trying to join the European Union. But upon arrival, there was no discomfort at all. The most satisfying thing was finding a hidden gem of a restaurant where 800 Lek could get you a roasted lamb chop that you can't even get for 30€ in Montenegro. The next day, walking around with my backpack, I realized that the architecture in the capital city of Tirana is very artistic, as are the streets. No wonder so many European directors, writers, and artists like to come to Albania. Perhaps it's not only because of the affordable prices but also the government's support.
