As a hotel enthusiast, this experience exceeded all my expectations. Next time I visit the Lake District, I will definitely choose this place again! 🔥 📍 The hotel is located on a hilltop overlooking Lake Windermere, with an excellent location offering panoramic views of the entire Lake District. It’s about a 10-minute drive to Windermere train station. Nearby attractions include Blackwell Arts and Crafts House and St Martin’s Church. 🛏️ The rooms are stylish and luxurious, each with a unique design. Many rooms have direct views of the lake, well-manicured gardens, and surrounding hills. The rooms are spacious and tidy, with beds so comfortable you won’t want to get up. There’s a handwritten welcome letter, and the toiletries 🧴 are from the local brand The Bath House, which feels very high quality. Rooms also come with a minibar, an Italian espresso machine, and a flat-screen TV—attention to detail is spot on. 🍽️ Michelin-recommended restaurant + authentic British cuisine The hotel’s Henrock restaurant is Michelin 🌟 recommended, led by renowned chef Simon Rogan, using local ingredients to prepare dishes. Dinner is served Wednesday through Sunday, and breakfast is à la carte with freshly made hot dishes. Alexandra Park offers Bath's most breathtaking viewpoint, perched atop Beechen Cliff. While wandering Bath's streets gives you that "lost in the mountains" feeling, here everything becomes clear. Standing at the viewing platform, you'll be treated to a panoramic vista of this UNESCO World Heritage city that's simply indescribable. The sweeping view encompasses not just the iconic honey-colored historic buildings but extends to landmarks like the Royal Crescent, Bath Abbey, the River Avon, and distant hills. Armed with our pre-booked tickets and an early morning plan, we managed to dodge the hordes of tourists. Upon entering, it felt like we’d stepped right into ancient Rome, minus the toga-wearing citizens. To our delight, there was far more to explore than we’d anticipated. Who knew baths could be so captivating? The audio guides were our trusty companions, regaling us with stories and facts far beyond what any toga-clad guide could muster. The staff were as friendly as they were informative, adding a lovely touch of modern hospitality to our historical escapade. Every corner of the site had something interesting to offer, and we soaked up (pun intended) every bit of it. In short, our visit was a splash of historical fun, and we left feeling like honorary Romans. If you find yourself passing through Bath, we highly recommend this unique experience.
