Good: I love the open air onsen. However, when I was in the onsen (naked) there was a Korean lady who was taking photographs with her cell phone. The room itself is small and lovely.
Bad: I wanted to say it’s cleaned. BUT, there was a sharp needle on the floor in my room (see photo). I stepped on it and it got stuck into my foot! It’s very dangerous and I didn’t know how their cleaning crew could kiss it!
Not very service-oriented. Almost never returned email. When my email was finally returned, the attitude was quite stuck up. This place is famous for its onsen. Could it be they got too full of themselves?

The both the indoor and outdoor onsens for the ladies were superb, not sure about the men’s, but there’re two outdoor onsens for guys.
Location is quite easy to find if you’re driving, might need to take a taxi otherwise as it’s not walkable.
Food was just ok, but the staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

I was really satisfied with the family trip to Musouen that I took with my parents. The landscaping was great and the hot springs were nice too. The women's only bath was good, but the family bath was also really good. The staff are also very friendly. The food isn't very delicious, but it's acceptable. I want to go again next time!

The hotel staff are very good and can help with luggage. There are Chinese-speaking counter staff and communication is very good. There is coffee on the first floor that you can drink for free.
