A classic British-style B&B run by a hardworking Polish couple, the ground floor doubles as a bar at night and a restaurant in the mornings and evenings. The balcony is perfect for afternoon tea or small gatherings. The breakfast is exceptionally exquisite, cooked to order, creating a truly ceremonial atmosphere and delicious! Perfect for families!

The accommodation is not too far from the attractions on foot. York Cathedral is about a 10-minute walk away. The hotel provides parking spaces (15 pounds). The hotel does not have an elevator, so it is difficult to carry large luggage. Fortunately, the receptionist can help with moving.

The hotel owner was very welcoming and thoughtful. He was able to store my luggage until the next day and even heated up my supermarket lunchbox. Thank you! The room was warm and safe. The location was excellent.

From the train station to the hotel, about 15 minutes walk to, very convenient. There is a small terrace garden in the hotel, where you can take a break, sip tea, or paint, which is quite relaxing. The hotel receptionist is friendly and gives detailed introductions to the attractions and restaurants. It’s best to live on the ground floor with larger, more spacious rooms. The hotel does not have an elevator, if you have more luggage to move upstairs is more troublesome. The toilet space is a bit small. The overall feeling is good.
