Although centrally located in Yuetang, this hotel offers a quiet and unique retreat. The decor is lovely, the rooms are very comfortable, and the cleanliness is excellent. Plus, it's very reasonably priced. There are various restaurants nearby, making dining very convenient, and the Wang Family Ancestral Hall is right across the street. The owner is incredibly honest and enthusiastic, even helping with luggage. For anyone visiting Hongcun, staying here is a fantastic choice!

This guesthouse in Hongcun Scenic Area is absolutely wonderful! It has a simple yet elegant courtyard with a strong scholarly ambiance. The owner is incredibly friendly and kind, offering luggage pick-up and drop-off services throughout our stay. They also thoughtfully arranged for us to dine at excellent nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner. Upon checking in, we immediately headed to Wanxing Tower near the guesthouse for stinky mandarin fish and rice with vegetables, which, unfortunately, were quite bland. However, the design of Nanhu Guanyuan itself is very refined and tasteful, and the breakfast spread offers a great variety, perfect for a heartwarming and satisfying start to the day. The guesthouse is exceptionally close to the Nanhu and Yuezao attractions, making it easy to take leisurely strolls in the morning or evening and soak in the beautiful, misty江南 (Jiangnan) scenery. My trip to Hongcun in Anhui was truly delightful, and staying at Nanhu Guanyuan made it even more enjoyable. Plus, the scenic area's parking lot charges a maximum of only twenty yuan for both day and night, which is incredibly good value.

The room matched the pictures perfectly, a great size for families of three or four. The owner's shuttle service was prompt and the guesthouse environment was lovely. A special thanks to the owner for retrieving my child's lost smartwatch from the restaurant – they even rode an electric scooter to get it back for us! 🙏 Hongcun itself is quite commercialized now. Activities like making fish lanterns, sugar figures, tie-dyeing, and bamboo carving offer a good experience for kids, but a one-day stay is generally sufficient. The fish lantern performance isn't on the same level as what you'd see in Chengkan, but the quiet morning in Hongcun is truly beautiful.

Shuttle service: The hotel offers free shuttle service, but only from the west gate parking lot of the scenic area. Welcome fruit: Very fresh! Souvenir: The cup and tea are great! 👍👍👍 Facilities: This is a renovated ancient building, and I heard it took three years to complete. It's the largest and most representative unique guesthouse I've ever seen, with 26 rooms, each with its own characteristics. The greenery coverage in the garden is over 90%, and every spot is a beautiful scene! 👍👍👍 Hygiene: Extremely meticulous; every nook and cranny is spotless. The restaurant is also very beautiful. I heard that in August and September, the indoor swimming pool will be filled with local spring water, perfect for a dip! 🤭😊 Environment: Right outside is Yueyao, and Nanhu Lake is just a few steps away. It's located in a small alley next to the post office – truly a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle! 👍👍👍 Service: From the guest rooms to the front desk, the restaurant, the luggage shuttle, and even the uncles, everyone is wonderful, very service-oriented, and exceptionally thoughtful and attentive! 👍👍👍

We were met at the entrance to help us with the luggage and to show us to the hotel and also helped with the luggage when we left. The place is quiet and peaceful and the lady boss is so helpful and genuinely warm hearted. Really glad we found this place.

I booked the Hongcun Wanxinglou·Nanhupan Garden Homestay online. It's conveniently located right by the South Lake, near Hongcun's South Gate, making it easy to visit all the core attractions. The room was spacious and tidy, with a separate wet and dry bathroom that had no strange odors. They provided disposable toilet seat covers and decent quality toilet paper, as well as a full set of disposable amenities. The entire homestay has a charming rustic, antique vibe, and the room was very quiet. I was quite satisfied! Due to bad weather forecast for Huangshan the next two days, I canceled my subsequent plans and immediately extended my stay here for another night offline to enjoy a deeper exploration of Hongcun, hehe! The food here is also quite good, and both the owner and staff are very warm and enthusiastic. Recommended!

We stayed at a guesthouse located right in the heart of Hongcun, which made it very convenient for exploring the village. The lodging was clean, comfortable, and fully functional. The owner and his wife were genuinely kind—they personally came to pick us up and even prepared a small farewell gift when we left. Hongcun itself, however, was extremely crowded despite not being in peak season. Because of that, if we return to the area, we’ll likely choose to stay in Xidi instead. It’s about 30 minutes away, much quieter, and offers a similar traditional village experience without the overwhelming crowds.

Just spent two nights in Hongcun and it was an amazing experience! The guesthouse is right next to Moon Pond, and opening the window feels like stepping into a traditional Chinese ink painting. The owner was incredibly welcoming; they contacted me beforehand to help with my luggage and recommended some authentic local food. The room was quaint and clean, full of traditional Huizhou architectural charm. At night, the village quieted down, and sitting in the courtyard, sipping tea and gazing at the moon, truly felt like time slowed down.

The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the facilities are excellent. The food is delicious too! Most importantly, the staff are all incredibly nice, warm, and attentive. They helped us with our luggage, and even offered pick-up and drop-off services to and from the scenic area. A special shout-out to the beautiful lady manager – she was super enthusiastic and truly touched our hearts. Oh, and there's also a very cute little black dog! I really hope this wonderful guesthouse continues to thrive. We'll definitely be back next time we visit Hongcun!

Facilities: The amenities are complete, and toiletries, including bath towels and regular towels, are all disposable, which is a big plus. Hygiene: I always bring my own disposable bed sheets and duvet covers when I travel, but for a B&B at this price point, especially within a scenic area, it was a pleasant surprise. The hygiene was excellent. Environment: Both inside and outside the room were very satisfactory, just as shown in the pictures. Service: This was the most important aspect, and the service was outstanding. We entered and exited the scenic area three times in one day, and the owner patiently drove us back and forth every time. After adding the owner on WeChat, they also provided travel tips, and any requests or needs were promptly addressed. Super five-star rating! Also, it felt like there weren't many dining options in Hongcun. We ate dinner at the B&B on our first night, and the stir-fried dishes were perfectly to our taste – delicious, and we cleaned our plates.
