Location-wise, this B&B is right in the heart of everything. It's a renovated century-old house, and you step right out to Moon Pond. The owner is really nice and even offers luggage transfer within the scenic area. Waking up early in Hongcun before the crowds is a completely different experience. Staying here, you can just walk out and see Moon Pond, and South Lake is also very close and convenient.

I'm so incredibly happy with this guesthouse in Hongcun! 🥹 The courtyard is absolutely beautiful, and the Huizhou-style architecture makes for amazing photos 📸. The room was also very clean and tidy, making for a really comfortable stay. The location is the absolute best part! It's right next to the entrance of Hongcun, so getting to any attraction is super convenient. You don't have to walk far at all, which saved us so much time~ The breakfast was also very thoughtfully prepared, homely and delicious. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit Hongcun. Highly recommend!

Before coming to Hongcun, I didn't have high expectations, thinking it would just be another old village to visit and leave. However, my stay at 'Hongcun Yike Homestay' made me feel that every detail of this trip radiated warmth. Upon arriving at Hongcun bus station, I was unfamiliar with the area and was stressing about how to drag my luggage across the stone-paved paths to the homestay while looking at a map. The moment I called, the owner's enthusiastic voice immediately put me at ease: 'Wait there, I'll be right over to pick you up!' In less than ten minutes, the owner appeared on an electric scooter, swiftly tied my luggage to the vehicle, and cheerfully motioned for me to hop on. We weaved through Hongcun's winding alleys and past bustling crowds of tourists. The homestay was tucked away in a quiet lane near Moon Pond, an excellent location. You could see Moon Pond just around the corner, yet it was peaceful and quiet – truly an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle. Stepping into the courtyard, I was captivated by this homestay, a renovated Huizhou-style building. The exquisitely carved porch, wooden corridors, and rustic private courtyard exuded the unique elegance and serenity characteristic of Huizhou homes. Inside the room, it was bright and clean. The antique-style wooden bed paired with a soft mattress offered both classic charm and comfort. The night was exceptionally quiet, and I slept soundly. Early the next morning, I opened the window to a beautiful view of the Huizhou-style horse-head walls in the morning light, distant mountains draped in lush greenery, and the nearby sounds of birdsong and fragrant flowers. It truly felt like living inside a traditional Chinese ink wash painting. On the day of my departure, the owner drove me to the bus station as usual, reminding me of other places I hadn't visited in Hongcun along the way. Before saying goodbye, the owner pulled out a packet of chrysanthemum tea from the trunk, handed it to me, and smiled, saying, 'This is our local chrysanthemum tea, take it home and try it.' Holding that packet of tea, my heart felt warm. Staying here truly felt like returning to an old friend's home in Huizhou, thoughtful and considerate in every way. 'Yike Homestay' truly lives up to its name – making one feel 'at ease' (逸) and so content that guests (客) forget to leave. Next time I'm in Hongcun, I'll definitely stay here again.

The hotel's location is excellent, less than a 10-minute walk to the main attractions. The hotel itself has a serene atmosphere, with a beautiful Jiangnan garden-style setting. You could easily spend a comfortable and peaceful day just relaxing in the courtyard with a cup of tea, without even needing to visit the sights. The cleanliness standards are on par with a five-star hotel, and they thoughtfully provide two types of slippers. The service is very attentive; they offer shuttle service to and from the parking lot, and are both welcoming and discreet. The front desk lady was especially kind, giving detailed directions.

This guesthouse is a must-stay when visiting Hongcun to see the Huizhou-style architecture. Its location is absolutely superb, within walking distance of all the popular photo spots, making it super easy to plan your sightseeing. The courtyard is elegant and spotless, and the guest rooms are even cleaner and tidier. The attention to detail in cleanliness is truly impressive; there's no clutter or stains anywhere. It's an old house conversion that beautifully preserves its ancient charm while maintaining excellent living standards. My stay here was a perfect experience!

Tachuan's autumn was made even more beautiful by this guesthouse. I searched on Ctrip for a long time, worried about hygiene issues, but this guesthouse really paid attention to details and was very clean. The moment I opened the door, the automatic welcoming ceremony from 'Xiao Ai' (smart speaker) was very touching. It's right at the entrance of Hongcun and the price is excellent value for money. The proprietress is very kind, and the young man who checked me in, Manager Xiao Wang, was extremely helpful with excellent service. From picking me up at the station to helping me find a car for my travels, he saved me the anxiety and exhaustion of not having a car in Hongcun. The prices were also reasonable. Anyone worried about drivers getting upset in Hongcun can completely entrust their needs to him. At the village entrance, he even used a small electric cart to help with my luggage. There are Hello e-bikes nearby, so you can go to Lucun early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Thank you for providing such a 'utopia' after my busy work. The hygiene was indeed top-notch!

Staying within the scenic area was fantastic! No need for constant ins and outs, and the main attractions were right on our doorstep. The new building had a great fresh feel to it, blending traditional Huizhou architectural style with modern decor. The courtyard had a wonderful ambiance, and the small bridge and fish pond were perfect for photos. The owner was incredibly nice, offering free pick-up and drop-off services and even helping with our luggage. It was great value for money and I'd highly recommend it for a short trip.

Overnight in Hongcun, half mountain and half water ✔ I booked this hotel while visiting Hongcun. I arrived at the scenic area at 6 PM. The hostess came with a cart to pick up my luggage. The entrance to the B&B is decorated in the Huizhou style. We booked a duplex on a last-minute basis; my friend prefers older buildings. We made do with it for one night. The highlight of this place is the terrace. From the top, you can enjoy the entire Hongcun nightscape. For the price, this hotel is quite good, and I'll also review it on the reviews page.

This guesthouse is absolutely, incredibly amazing!!! The owners and their family are super friendly and welcoming! Breakfast was delicious and comforting! The service was excellent, and the room environment was surprisingly good, exceeding all expectations! I truly wish the owners great success in their business!! The location right by Nanhu Lake is also very convenient and easy to find. All in all, it was an incredibly satisfying stay!

Highly highly recommend to stay in 上善若水 民宿 if you visit 宏村。 The place is conveniently located near 月昭, which is one of the most pretty sight in 宏村。 Hotel is beautiful , spacious and very clean , with a big yard where you can sip tea and enjoy the serene vibe of the place. There are 9 rooms ,all nicely designed by interior designer. Service by the owners, husband and wife pair is impeccable. You feel welcome immediately with attention to your every need! Feels like you are staying with friends who provide you with comfort in a foreign place. Home cooked breakfast every morning and great quality sleep every night! Some photos of the hotel below.
