We stayed at this hotel for more than 10 days. When I extended my stay for one more night, I was told that I needed to change rooms and that the staff would call me with the details. I waited all day, but no one contacted me. In the evening, my key card suddenly stopped working, and I couldn’t get into my room. It was only after 8:30 p.m. that I was finally told I had to change rooms. The room change itself was not the problem. The lack of communication and poor handling of the situation caused a lot of unnecessary inconvenience. This experience also left me wondering whether guests who book through a third-party platform are treated differently. I hope that was not the case, but after staying for more than 10 days, I expected much better service.

The room size is average, and the housekeeping service is decent. The location is quite convenient, very close to popular attractions, and within walking distance. The service is good, but they only speak the local language and English, so communication in Chinese is not possible.

Repeat stay. Professional staff from reception, restaurant and housekeeping. Bedding was clean and comfortable. excellent gym and pool. Will stay again when in Yangon.

LOCATION Excellent location. In the immediate vicinity of the central train station. A 15-minute walk from Sule, with all its bus lines. A good starting point for exploring the city on foot. Shopping centers are in the immediate vicinity. A 30-minute taxi ride from the airport. SERVICE Excellent welcome and service. Excellent attention at every moment, whether from the housekeeping staff, restaurant staff, concierge, or the gym/spa/pool staff. PS: Please note the $200 USD security deposit required for some reservations. This should be anticipated, although it is payable by credit card (check if this option is worth according to your bank's terms and conditions applied for transaction in Myanmar). ENVIRONMENT Quiet and safe neighborhood. Elegant and comfortable hotel. Harmonious and high-quality layout. Impeccable maintenance. ROOM Superior King Bed Room: Perfect for one person, with a desk area and a small sitting area. Bright. Well laid out. Comfortable. Very good quality bedding. Clean, high-quality linens. Spacious and clean bathroom. Hot water with good pressure. Very good Wi-Fi. Conveniently placed electrical outlets. Excellent lighting. Luggage storage available (for one bag). Pleasant city view. Central air conditioning system. It worked perfectly, but I didn't find the adjustments very user-friendly. BREAKFAST Large dining room. Well-spaced buffet area, open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Elegant dining room. I preferred the back of the room for its quietness, privacy, and comfort. Attentive and courteous staff. A well-stocked and varied buffet. Yet, there was a noticeable difference in quality between the buffet, the kitchen staff, and the buffet presentation between weekdays and weekends. Some of the glass-fronted areas in the dining room were not clean at all: cobwebs, long-standing dust, and general grime. This needs improvement, as it's not what you'd expect from a hotel of this caliber. The buffet occupied most of my mornings; however, I'm not sure I would have wanted to pay an additional $20 USD for it if it wasn't already included in the reservation. FACILITIES *The hotel has all the facilities one would expect for a hotel of this standard. In conclusion, I benefited from a very good price offer through Trip.com, which accurately reflected the hotel's value for money. I was truly delighted with my stay and will keep the PARKROYAL on my list of favorites for a future trip.

The space is clean, spacious, and never overcrowded, making it a true haven for fitness enthusiasts. The location is simply unbeatable. I was able to walk effortlessly to the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda, the historic Sule Pagoda, and several beautiful parks in the vicinity. The convenience of having such major attractions within walking distance truly enhanced my cultural experience. The service here is nothing short of exceptional. Every single staff member went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. From the concierge who provided invaluable local insights to the housekeeping team who maintained impeccable standards of cleanliness, the attention to detail and genuine care for guests was evident in every interaction. Their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to assist with any request made me feel truly valued as a guest. Safety and security were never a concern during my stay. The hotel maintains excellent security measures, and I felt completely at ease throughout my visit. Whether returning late in the evening or leaving early in the morning, the well-lit surroundings and attentive security staff provided complete peace of mind. In conclusion, Hotel G Yangon offers an outstanding combination of top-notch facilities, prime location, delectable nearby dining, impeccable service, and a secure environment. After reading George Orwell's 'Burmese Days,' I had a spontaneous idea to visit Myanmar for a few days. Then I found out that The Strand Hotel, one of Asia's three heritage hotels, the 'Pearl of Southeast Asia,' and the oldest hotel in Southeast Asia, had reopened! It was perfect in my eyes: 1. **Reasonable price**; 2. **Great location** (right by the Yangon River, next to the Rosewood Hotel, and just a 10-minute walk from the Sule Pagoda in the city center); 3. **Rich history and countless literary references**; 4. **Its experience of closing due to civil war**; 5. **Excellent drinks and delicious food** (even the late-night snacks were good); 6. **Proficient English speakers among the front desk, restaurant, and bar staff**; 7. **Exceptional service**.

Balmi Hotel is located in the heart of the city, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the room was reasonably clean, offering a comfortable stay. However, I did encounter an issue that needs attention. I spotted two small cockroaches during my stay. While this did not ruin my experience, it needs to improve pest control measures. Addressing this would greatly enhance the overall quality of the stay. Despite this, Balmi has a lot to offer and could easily be a top choice for travelers once this issue is resolved.

Excellent experience staying at Hotel Grand United - 21st Downtown in Yangon in Myanmar. As a Muslim, I must recommend you stay there, you will get Halal food near the Hotel. There are several Mosque in walking distance near the hotel. You will enjoy the place. So, I must recommend.

Hands down the best hotel in Yangon! It's new, stylish, and just a pleasure to stay at. The rooms are gorgeous, and the beds are incredibly comfortable (you'll sleep like you're on a cloud). Service is 10/10. Breakfast is 500/10! They serve good coffee, and you can even order Eggs Benedict with salmon (which is a big deal for Myanmar), and it's included in the breakfast. The location is right in the city center, next to Sule Pagoda. If I ever come back to Yangon, it'll only be to this hotel! It's rare for me to enjoy a stay this much, but I was truly impressed here.

For the price, it's perfectly fine. If all you need is a place to sleep, you can confidently book it. It's quite minimalistic. There's breakfast, but I missed it because it started at 7:00 AM, and when I went down, the restaurant was still empty.
