We had pre-booked and paid for breakfast for the 2 mornings. The first morning was fine and as expected. The 2nd morning when we went in, was asked if we had booked a table and time. We said no, as hadn't been asked to. She then said there was no room for us and would have to wait at least half n hour. I wasn't pleased, and when I questioned all the empty tables she said they were reserved. I asked if we could sit and have breakfast in the bar area and she said no as it's used as a 'holding area'. Like cattle! She told us to go to the hotel reception to complain and request a refund as she said they should've told us we needed to book a time. At reception, we were told the lady in the Brewers Fayre was trying to 'cover her back'. However, we would be issued a refund for the breakfast. I am still waiting for it from over a week ago. I have also lodged a complaint to the customer service and as yet not had a response.
