Best Western Spreewald

This was our second time staying at this hotel. The staff was very friendly again. The welcome at reception was very warm. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast was delicious again. Thank you very much.

Room small but clean. Breakfast very good, much better than expected for a 3 star hotel. Purchasing for the bar leaves a lot to be desired. 1st evening Aperol without orange (was out). 2nd evening Aperol was completely out. It was Saturday and you could have shopped all day. Aperol was an integral part of the bar menu and also listed in the special menu for Tanz in den Mai. The bar staff didn't feel responsible for so much Inflexibility.

cute hotel near the motorway not far from Lübbenau. We were pleasantly surprised by this tastefully furnished and laid out hotel, although we had already visited other Best West Hotels in Germany and had set ourselves up for this level - BUT we thought TOTALLY WRONG!!! Small, but sensible and practical, rooms with a feel-good character, very quiet despite being close to the motorway (!), great breakfast and dinner served by employees who enjoy their work - which has to be said about the entire staff - very friendly, unobtrusive, but always there when they are needed. Everyone's stay will be "sweetened" with culinary specialties from the region - even pickles! Our next short stay for two nights is already announced today and a MUST. Keep it up!!!! And a thermal bath and boat trip on the Spree - all around the corner or in a package - great!

The hotel is fine for a short stay. The room and the beds were clean. However, the rooms are getting old and need a general overhaul. The breakfast had a good selection and included various regional offerings. We just wished that more attention had been paid to splash guards and cooling of the food. What was absolutely not OK for us was the fact that we had booked a family room for ourselves and our little daughter, but we were not given one on site. The reason given was that they did not have as many family rooms as advertised online and that it was being kept free for families with more children. Instead, we got a normal double room with a rollaway bed (which was past its best) squashed into it. This made everything very cramped and not homely. Luckily, we only spent one night there. We did not receive any compensation from the hotel.

Rooms are perfectly adequate for a short stay. We have been going to Lübbenau for a few years now to go paddling and stay at the Best Western Hotel. It is possible to stay overnight alone. This has become rare and is worth mentioning. Parking in front of the hotel was easy, even though check-in was not planned until the evening. We agreed on the buffet meal, specified the time and confirmed it. In the evening we were looking forward to dinner (€25.00 per person after all) and that brings me to the negative part: 1.5 hours before the kitchen closed, the selection was very limited, when we asked if we could at least refill the pasta, we were told no, and the rest of the lukewarm dishes were already past their best. Totally unsatisfactory value for money. A shame, we had eaten much better a la carte in previous years. Breakfast was a completely different story. Very good selection.

No heating in the bathroom. In the room, the heating was only lukewarm at max, even though the temperature outside was below zero. The window curtain was dirty with paint. Although we asked before we arrived, the restaurant was closed. At 7:20 a.m. the night was over, someone started hammering with a hammer

We'd love to come back because we regularly use the Spreewald as a local recreation area. Rooms with shower doors seem to be new because we've had a shower curtain before. We didn't have dinner, but breakfast was great
