Due Torri Hotel

During a downpour, we dashed into this hotel for shelter and a coffee. Very impressed with the decor and professional service. Had a lovely pot of coffee, followed by drinks and also served some very nice complimentary savouries and sweets. Should we return to Verona, we would definitely consider staying here.

Place was fantastic. Perfect location next to Anastasia. Rooms are old fashion but modernized if you know what I mean! Bathroom perfect and functional bed was super comfy. Staff very friendly. Place has excellent roof top place for lunch and dinner. Enjoyed lunch after long day of sightseeing and shopping. Dinner was good one night also

From the moment we arrived, we were breeding by a friendly and very helpful staff. Check in was simple and easy and the hotel is beautifully appointed with interesting furniture, artwork and sculpture throughout. Make sure you get up to the rooftop for a cocktail or lunch. They Due Torri is located within easy access to many special historic sites and is in walking distance of shopping and restaurants.

Due Torri is a beautiful, majestic, old hotel in the heart of Verona. We were greeted warmly by Jordana and luckily, our room was ready for check in when we arrived. It was a quiet, clean, spacious and comfortable room. The AC was not working as well as we would have liked and the toilet was not flushing at first. They sent a maintenance worker quickly to fix the issues. Then the AC made the room very comfortable temperature wise and the toilet worked but had a little dripping issue on the inside. It did not really bother us so we decided not to mention it as we already had workers in the room and just wanted to enjoy our stay. We made a day trip to Modena and asked one of the gentleman at the front desk for some assistance. He was not overly friendly or helpful so that was disappointing but we managed to figure that out on our own. I also read later in the room, that the hotel offered different tours. It would have been nice if that staff member had mentioned it to us as an option. However, he did not. It was our 20th wedding anniversary so were given a lovely bottle of champagne in the room which was a really nice surprise!! We ordered coffee in the morning a few times and the coffee and biscuits are exceptional!! As is the room service staff. I also have to mention the house keeping staff. Warm and friendly and they do a wonderful job. The room was spotless and tidy and comfortable. And, soooo peaceful and quiet. Coming from New York, it was nice to have some peace. Even though we had some minor issues, we would still highly recommend Due Torri and would give it 5 stars!! Grazie mille!!!

This is a very nice historic hotel in a great central Verona location. It has been updated while retaining its character. The service is excellent; the staff is extremely helpful in arranging tours and activities in Verona and the surrounding area. The restaurant is very nice, and breakfasts are quite complete. It is an easy walk to the Arena, the Stone Bridge, the Roman Theater, the central Piazza, etc. It is also close to Juliet’s house, though we didn’t bother going there.

Class and excellence define this hotel. From its location close to everything in a quiet area near one of the main churches, only 2 minutes walk to the heart of the city. A small cozy and elegant hotel that is made superb by its staff, from reception to the maids to the breakfast team, everyone to a person was polite and efficient and made you feel very special and lucky to be in such a lovely hotel As a lot of 5 star Italian hotels they maintain a sense of history and grandeur, don’t expect a modern swish hotel but rather a hotel that maintains it roots and history The room ( deluxe double) was well appointed, very clean and had all amenities ( a kettle would have been nice tho’ 😉) Breakfast room was nice and the staff amazing, warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble …. good choice of hot and cold buffet with high quality meats, salmon, fruits, cheese and a variety of staple hot foods. as celebrating a birthday, the hotel without telling them arranged a nice bottle of wine and a special birthday cake when we arrived back to the room. Verona is a great city and a fantastic base to travel to Milan, Venice. Bologna, Lake Garda, Brescia ( don’t go on Sunday as it’s closed 😔) The train station is a 10 minute cab ride away and has a great inexpensive service to all of the above with clean, fast and reliable trains … We took train to Venice and upgraded to business for around £80 return which took just over an hour ! Lake Garda 20 mins away by train Verona has so much to offer and has a fantastic choice of places to visit, eat, drink and shop ! Grazie Mille

The general condition and amenities of the room didn’t reflect the price and five-star classification. One would expect to have a Nespresso machine in the room that costs over 400 euros per night, not to mention a kettle. The interior of our deluxe room and especially the parquet were really worn out. Neither welcome treats nor turndown chocolates were provided. It felt like being in a big chain hotel. The personal touch was lacking. The staff were a mixed bag. Some were super friendly while some others not so much. A waiter at breakfast commented loudly my drink order to his colleague and watched me from head to toes when entering the restaurant. Another one asked whether I was a hotel guest when passing by in the gym. Totally impropriate. The hotel has a nice spa but there isn’t a dressing room and also the hooks where you can hang your clothes and towels are missing. I even had to call to reception to request some shampoo and shower gel since they don’t have any in the spa. The breakfast was typical Italian fair, quite okay but nothing really outstanding. One of the best part of the hotel is the amazing roof top bar. However, it has a very limited and uninspiring menu with mainly burgers, club sandwiches and toasts. We had a flexible booking, yet the hotel reserved the full amount in my credit card several days before our arrival and at check out they wanted to charge again the same amount despite the reserved sum that is still pending and hasn’t been released.

We arrived without difficulty flowing our GPS and were immediately met by several staff who quickly took our luggage and parked our car. Check-in was efficient. Staff were personable. Our room was not ready, but our bags were stored and we were quickly off to see the city with the map they gave us. The location is excellent, just a few steps from some of the top attractions. The Basilica di Santa Anastasia is right out the front door. Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza dei Signori are a pleasant four or five minute walk. Our room was well equipped with a comfortable bed, quality linens, strong Wi-Fi, and plenty of outlets for phone and tablet charging. The bath had quality amenities and fluffy towels. The lobby and other public rooms are showcases with artwork, widely spaced comfortable furniture, and a lobby bar. The rooftop bar and restaurant offers views of the city, and the staff were very polite and efficient. Breakfast was excellent. There was a wide selection hot and cold items, fresh breads and pastries, and fresh fruit and fruit juices.
