Angeles Inn

We booked a room with a private bathroom, but before our arrival, we were told we’d have to share a bathroom unless we paid an extra $80 cash to upgrade. They tried to blame it on *******, but after reading other reviews, it’s clear they’ve done this to many guests. When we arrived, we waited 15 minutes outside for the host, who barely spoke English and was difficult to communicate with. Once he finally let us in, he charged us $105 cash for “taxes.” We were promised a balcony with a canal view — but the room had no view at all. The room itself was tiny, the bed squeaky and uncomfortable, and the pillows and blankets were terrible. To make things worse, there was a fire alarm chirping every 30 seconds due to a dead battery right outside our door. Both mornings we woke up with bug bites, and when we arrived, the AC was turned off, making the room extremely hot. It took all day to cool down since it was on the third floor. Overall, this was one of the worst stays we’ve ever had. Would not recommend.

Rooms were very nice and clean. The entry process to the room from the street took 4 different keys - great security, but a little bothersome. The first key was to the garden gate, the second key to the building, the third key to a suite of rental rooms, and the fourth to our room. The host was extremely nice and we enjoyed our breakfast on the roof of one of the buildings owned by property. Because of some internet glitches we had some difficulty the first day of our stay because of a communications problem. We would stay there again - now that we know the secrets of getting to our room.

Beautiful view and really appreciated the upgrade to balcony room with canal view. Bathroom was very clean and shower was amazing pressure. The bed and pillows were on the flat and former side which was uncomfortable for resting. Wish the communal area was able to be used more. Overall decent stay for staying in Venice

The stander was good compered to the price. The hotel (rom) was nicer and cleaner then expected. The area was quiet and nice, yet very central. The bed was a bit too hard. The room is small, but that was expected. I will recommand this hotel if you want to stay in Venice.

Great location on a quiet, pleasant street, with some rooms overlooking a small canal. Relatively close to the train station (easy walk) and in a neighborhood that has several restaurant options. A few great cafes around the corner. A hike from the rest of the island, but with the Vaporetto, easy to get around. Angeles Inn is pleasant, clean, and well cared for. The staff are fantastic: Fabio is especially helpful and eager to make your stay a great one.
