Hotel Marina Villa del Rio

DO NOT come to this hotel if you have ANY special diet, or if you appreciate having internet in your room. The service, despite its politeness, it is absolutely terrible. I have a rather serious case of coeliacs disease and hotel staff where incapable and COMPLETELY UNWILLING to provide a list of allergens in their menu, refusing point-blank when asked to provide one even on the “alternative” gf foods they serve. Which consists of some disgusting thin rubbery cornstarch and water something (it’d be an insult to call it a crepe, or even worst…a breakfast alternative). I was blamed for having my disease by being told that I should’ve brought my own food for an entire 3 day stay, which I do travel with some food, but let’s face it, I’m not going to carry 3 meals a day in my suitcase. Hospitality means that a hotel room of over $150 a night is MEANT to provide me with alternatives, but they profusely refused to even help me see a list of ingredients that could make me sick. There is not understanding of hospitality, nor much care. Also the internet doesn’t reach the rooms, which assumes we are all local tourists who have local phone data and no need of special diets. Absolute disgrace and such a shame to have spent my time and money in this place. It is not worth it.
