Sandals Grenada All Inclusive - Couples Only

We have been frequenting Sandals properties since 1996. They are the originator of all inclusives, and do it best. We finally make it to Sandals Grenada and are so glad we did! The delay over the years was mostly due to limited flights from California, but it's definitely improved now. This property is the perfect setting if you are looking for a Caribbean paradise. The airport is 5 minutes from the property so your vacation starts quickly. Extra efforts were made to get everyone checked in timely and we were in our swimsuits walking the beach within an hour of arrival. We are beach bums so we were pleased with the amount of chairs and umbrellas available, as well as the warm water and designated swim areas. Be sure to bring a packable raft, water shoes, snorkel and mask because the swim areas are like an aquarium with lots of fish and sea life tucked in the rock jetty. Be sure to ask the water sports team about the 3pm boat tour (included). They take you out in the scuba boat and give you a one hour tour of the coastline down to St. George's. Because we are beach people, we purposely booked our room in Pink Gin building for the shorter walk. If you are pool people, they have great options too. The pool toward the beach is more quiet, and the other more active. The food at Sandals Grenada was the best we've ever had at a Sandals resort. They continue to change/update/fine tune options which is so appreciated. They have everything you can get in the US, as well as their specialty dishes from the island which include their plentiful spices. They offered vegetarian and vegan options at all restaurants and waiters were so kind to inquire with the chef on ingredients when asked (not veg/vegan but dairy and I aren't friends). The nightly entertainment was great. Prince and his team were very talented and offered an array of shows. We loved the ”living room” area where we hung out in the evenings for entertainment, drinks, pool, ping pong and other activities. I'm saving the best for last...hands down Sandals has the most beautiful settings in the Caribbean. However, the secret ingredient to their success is the people. We were absolutely floored by the friendliness and kindness at Sandals Grenada at every restaurant, bar, housekeeping, landscapers, you name it. We were assisted by Jason Jonas (no doubt a future leader) at check in who made sure we were welcomed and put our mind immediately at ease. Jennifer Greenidge, Director of Guest Services was there for us anytime we had a question, needed a recommendation and even a hug goodbye. Bassey in Loyalty Travel was so helpful in getting us re-booked for our next Sandals trip. He had a wealth of knowledge about the room options and choices based on our past bookings (we are close to getting another free week!). Hotel Manager Rohan Louis was a constant presence during our stay and always had a smile and making sure everything was going well. We hope to see her a
True Blue Bay Resort

We stayed at True Blue Bay for 5 nights. We would have stayed longer however, we were on to another resort on the island to experience more. I have some very fond memories and was more then pleased with the resort. We arrived and were greeted by smiling faces and happy front desk staff. Upon a smooth and quick check-in we were taken to our room which was immaculate. We stayed in the water front two level suite, more like a condo I would say. They have several pools, that were also clean and well attended. We never lacked for a place to hunker down, there was shade and sun spots. They did a happy hour of rum punch at one of the pools everyday. We loved this. The layout of the resort is awesome, nice walking piers, beautiful restaurant literally on the water, dive shop just around the bend, an awesome outdoor bar by the middle pool and although we didn't use any of the water sports equipment it was there and looked to be in great condition. They although you put dinners and drinks on your room which is super convenient. I also want to point out that they include breakfast. The breakfast was not only fresh and had an abundance of choices but they would do made to order eggs of any kind. My husband I think had an omelet everyday. There is also many drinks to choose from in the morning breakfast and one of our favorite things about this was a they would have a different hot tea out every morning. My husband and I tried all of them. Lovely touch. One last note, the staff at this resort take care of anything and everything you may need. Anytime we needed a taxi, a recommendation, directions, even rented us a car for the day, very accommodating. Now for the fun part, here are some staff members who went above and beyond for us, Brandt front desk, Sky, Hope thanks for the fun and rum punch, Christel super fun, Therisa and of course Kiana our omelet specialist. Thanks for making our first Grenada trip amazing and sharing your beautiful island with us. Hope to return again.
Royalton Grenada Resort

Royalton Grenada Honest review If you look at the reviews on this resort you may not want to book a holiday here, My wife and I had 2 weeks here in mid-November with 2 of our friends. The resort is in a wonderful setting and with beautiful beaches and has 3 swimming pools, 3 beach bars, although 2 of the pools and bars are together, one for the premium clientele the other for the regular clientele. The only problem that I found with the actual resort is the buffet restaurant is too small, not enough selection as you would get on other Caribbean resorts or even Mexico resorts, although the food is ok just not the large selection. If your thinking of travelling to this resort I would recommend not more than 7 days as there is only 3 al a carte restaurants with small menus so the food can be repetitive but again the food is ok, but be warned what’s on the menus may not be available all the time, none of these restaurants serve breakfast or lunch unless you’re in the premium block and then you can use the Italian restaurant for breakfast and that has wonderful views over the sea. If you do decide to have your holiday in this resort, take it with a pinch of salt, you may find that they run out of beer, tonic for your gin and even gin itself, and as mentioned the restaurants don’t always have what’s on the menu. When we were there, there was a few people moaning all the time, but what I made of them was that the were the type of people that moan all the time even if everything is perfect, what saddened me was the were complaining to the waiters and waitress’s and none of the problems were of the staffs doing, we even saw a waitress in tears through a guy complaining and moaning all the time, and I overheard this guy complaining that it was too hot on the beach, what do you expect in the Caribbean so it just show what some people are like, now we made friends with a lot of people there and we had a laugh at the small problems the resort had but everyone said they had a great time, and overall loved the resort. The staff I’ve been to Mexico and other Caribbean islands on many occasions but I found that the staff here were so friendly and helpful and we made friends with a lot of the staff, from the entertainment team we Had George, Malcolm, Danielle and loads more sorry I can’t remember all of their names, the bar staff had Lisa, Denan and again I can’t Remember all the names, but I can guarantee that they will look after you. If you read this review to end Thank you, this was written as honestly as possible, yes there are small problems with the resort but remember a holiday is only as good as you make it. Alan McRae

We were not due to stay here, but due to the Coronavirus restrictions forcing us to cut short a stay on Carriacou, we stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was a little apartment with a kitchen, sitting area, dining table, bedoroom and bathroom. The hotel is on the road to the airport so there is traffic passing by all the time, but we didn't really notice it being invasive. The place was just right for our stay - waiting 2 days for our flight home. We were the only people staying there at the time, so started our self-isolation round the pool. This had nice loungers with comfy cushions on, and a sun shaded area with a nice breeze. It is on a steep slope so I would not class it as wheelchair friendly or for anyone with mobility problems. Our daily work out was walking up and down the slope to the pool which is at the top of the property. The restaurant was shut (as everywere on Grenada) but they cooked us breakfast which we ate in our room. In the evening we went and got a take away from the nearby Pun-jabi restaurant (see separate review). We had a friendly little Gecko staying with us in our bedroom who we named Trevor. He seemed to barely move at all, but I entertained myself with thoughts that while we slept he raced round the room doing circuits. The bed was large and very comfy. they had 2 enormous double wardrobes in the room containing about 4 hangers. This wasn't a problem for us as we lived out of our packed bags. I would imagine it's not the sort of place where you stay for a long time anyway. AC in the room was very effective. No ceiling fan. The shower looked old (a fixed head coming out of the wall) but it was fabulous. Lovely hot water and a decent pressure. Nice towels, and the pool towels were nice quality too. Difficult to tell what it would be like normally, but this place served it's purpose for us very well. The reception staff were very nice and helped as much as they could in the circumstances.
