One of the most picturesque places I've ever been. We stayed in a Lodge room. Was very spacious and clean. Everything you need in a room. Facilities were great. Restaurant had plenty choice for all tastes. Swimming pool and gym were great. Lounging outside in the heated infinity.pool makes you feel very special. The views are had to describe in words.

First time at Portavadie & we will definitely return. Excellent accommodation in the cottages, well equipped, cosy, parking alongside & dog friendly too. We were extremely lucky with the weather which was a huge bonus. Leisure facilities are first class with indoor pools & sauna and we all enjoyed the amazing views from the outdoor pools. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of fruit, ham, cheese etc followed by a hot option. Dinner in the Marina restaurant was superb using plenty local produce. Well done to all the friendly, professional staff at Portavadie- would definitely recommend for a chill out breakaway.

Lovely stay at Portavadie. Watching marina life is a little bonus. Lovely walks in and around.the complex and rural villages all around. Western Isles ferry on your doorstep. Cleanliness is great and such a tranquil setting. Lovely food and friendly staff Relaxing leisure complex. Fully stocked shop at Kames short drive away.....limited foodstuff on site shop. Just perfect will be back!

As we remembered it lovely marina and stay @ portavadie weather also helped as was warm food was great too lovely spa and outdoor pool access views of Loch Fyne are brilliant area round about also good and equipped for all our needs hired a bike also would recommend this as a wee treat break away only thing is you need to book spa pools in advance which is hard to remember and the meals too pre bookable thanks again

Lunch only this time but service friendly and efficient. Sea trout dish was well presented and quality excellent. All public areas looked pristine. Very pleasant place with good vibes to spend a few hours especially given still early in the season.

A family celebration was the occasion and all 10 of us aged 12 to 75 had a wonderfully relaxing time. The accommodation was superb and provided everything we could wish for. It was warm and cosy and very spacious. We ate breakfast each day in the restaurant and all enjoyed a daily swim in the outdoor infinity pool in the sunshine and even for a short while in sleet and hail. It just added to our experience. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and the serving staff so helpful. This was probably the best staycation we have ever had. Thank you all at Portavadie.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom luxury apartment. It was great. It was very clean and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. We had great views of the harbour and marina. My husband is a wheelchair user with limited mobility and this accommodation was perfect for all his needs. There is a shower with a small step which he could manage well. All doors were wide enough and the entrance had a space for his white be stored when he wasn’t using it. The boardwalk was perfect for strolling along and getting to and from the restaurant. Restaurant staff were amazing. Always willing to help, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was always good. Afternoon menu was good too. Evening menu was bit limited but adequate for me as a vegetarian and good for my husband. We didn’t manage to visit the Leisure Centre on this occasion. Reception staff were always on hand to book us in for meals and answer any questions. This was a lovely 3 day break and something we will repeat. I highly recommend Portavadie

Studio apartment very comfortable and well equipped. Just needed a fish slice and change wooden chopping board for plastic one. Food in restaurant was generally good but service was variable. Some very good staff but others not so good. My cooked breakfast was served just as I was starting to eat my cereal! Having breakfast included in the accommodation price seemed like a good deal but would have preferred this to be an optional extra. Booking system for meals didn't really seem to work as people were just turning up at anytime and getting tables. Overall, an enjoyable experience.

We went as a family of 4 and loved it. We had one of the deluxe apartments overlooking the marina and it's one of the best accommodations we have stayed in. The views were stunning and it was such a peaceful place to stay. The facilities are a short walk apart and it gives you time to enjoy the views and take in the fresh air. Slightly disappointing that the Spa and shop close at 5pm (remember to get everything you need before 5pm!), but with a bit of advance planning we got to enjoy the facilities when we wanted to.
