I stayed at this property many times and was the first choice when coming to the area. It is located in a prime location off the 101 freeway with a Walgreens, Starbucks, and Walmart grocery store within walking distance. This property was on the pricier side, was somewhat dated, and the front-desk staff friendly. I made the reservation May 2022 while there was nothing indicating a parking charge. They have a nice spacious parking lot with overflow parking at the Walmart grocery store next door. I don't see any reason to justify a parking charge, as it was complimentary for at least the past ten years I had stayed there. $10/night was added for each day of the stay without any notice. I will not be returning to this property and will drive an additional ten minutes to the Hampton Inn in Agoura Hills with FREE parking.

We usually always stay at Marriott hotels but as we would be staying for over a month off and on as travelling between California and Arizona for my sons baseball needed to find somewhere affordable to stay. Was a bit apprehensive as it’s a motel and we only ever stay at hotels. Was really impressed how clean this Motel 6 was in Thousand Oaks, California and how well maintained it is. The staff is amazing and always avail if you need extra towels or toilet paper. Due to COVID there isn’t maid service but that is the same at all hotels at the moment. Paul the assistant manager was very helpful and the day manager also, did not catch his name. All the staff we encountered were very friendly. Had a noise complaint one night over a noisy neighbour and they immediately took care of it. Also thought it was really nice they let animals stay also as not many motels/hotels allow that. Would definitely go back when we travel to California again.

I was here for a few night and I really liked it it has nice beds and nice rooms. One thing I didn’t like was that a girl name Cindy was so rude to me idk if she was in a bad mood but she was so rude she almost made me cry. The next night there was a lady named Frances and she help me a lot she help me get a room she help me mostly on everything thanks to her I enjoy my night here if you guys ever go here always look for her she’s a really nice lady I give her a 15/10

We came to Simi Valley to visit friends and family. I am so glad we chose this location. The shape of the buildings makes it convenient to all the amenities. The daily breakfast is real food and good coffee and juices, which we appreciated. The rooms have a refrigerator and microwave. The rooms were cleaned early everyday and done when we returned, even with a few special touches. The staff is amazing, pleasant, on top of any needs and always smiling. The rooms could use some updating but the price justifies it. The pool was clean and never got over crowded. The location was close to shopping and the Reagan Library and Museum. We would definitely come again.

Stayed Feb 2023 for my kids hockey tournament. Hotel had us sign a ”behavior” contract before check-in....first Ive ever had to do this. Had a team gathering in the seating area next to the Starbucks after I purchased over $20 worth of breakfast and other also. Was asked by the manager to move our team out of the seating area after we all purchased food. I get why they don't want kids running around but they signed up to host and at the end of the day we are customers too. Stayed in room 209. surfaces in room were dusty and hadn't been wiped down, carpet was stained and needs replacement. 209 has some sort of large fan running below it that vibrates the floor and creates vibration noise...wasn't the A/C. The Starbucks is 2x the price of a normal Starbucks...walk to McKenna's in the parking lot...way better! Overall, decent stay if traveling through, but not the Marriott quality I have experienced in the past.

There are not many parking spaces inside, the roadside can be stopped at the door. The hotel is in the old town, a small street, very close to the expressway, but not noisy, about 1 km from Ole, the cafe next door is good, the road There is a self-service barbecue on the opposite side, which is also very good. It’s good to have a break or a shopping stop.

GGuest UserAn a dedicated Marriott hotel chain family we were truly taken back by a very bad stay experience on 5/22 to 5/23. I attempted to contact the hotel and the corporate office yet recieved a form letter type apology with no true correspondence back from Marriott to resolve such an issue. A Mr. Gustavson wrote apologizing for the trash in front of the hotel the urine looking substance in the elevator and the multiple tour buses parked outside of our room which were noisy throughout the entire night and early morning hours making it impossible to sleep. Mr. Gustavson also gave me an email that was incorrect. As I stated the noise in the rear parking lot all night long was very disruptive relative to getting any sleep in room #205, which was adjacent to where the buses and people were talking etc. all night long. I just had shoulder surgery and we were up in thousand oaks to visit the gravesites where my wife's parents are buried. We have never experienced such a disturbance and disruptive environment while staying at one of Marriott's hotels. We also reported the overflowing maintenance trash cart in front of the hotel with trash sprawled all over the sidewalk etc. as I noted it was just left of the front doors as I pulled into the parking stall by the handicapped space. The trash cart was a large gray wheeled unit used most likely by maintenance to clean rooms etc. We also reported a liquid mess in the elevator which we noted looked like urine. The entire experience was less than expected from the Marriott chain and without a phone call in return or reimbursement of the 20000 Bonvouy Points I spent on this nightmare stay. We were certainly not informed of the big tour buses and activity in the parking area adjacent to our room which should have been disclosed and surely we would have declined and asked for another room. The caution tape in the parking lot does indicate this was a predetermined plan and we were the victims of a poorly selected room. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this location and are truly disappointed that Marriott chose to ignore my letter to corporate and correspondence to the hotel. I would not recommend this location.

GGuest UserWe stayed here for 2 nights. Rooms are spacious, clean and recently upgraded. We booked the Garden view rooms, which is recommendable , as they face the nation gardens. Other rooms might look towards the 101 freeway, which will make your experience different Next to the hotel is a supermarket. During our stay they were remodelling the restaurant and lobby area. If they build it according to the artist impressions it will look gorgeous when done. Disadvantage now is that you need to preorder your breakfast and pick it up at a window. Not a big deal, but the choice is very limited and nothing healthy included, even not a simple yogurt. Conclusion: Great hotel, but with the very limited breakfast at the moment, it only gets a 4 out of 5 during their renovation.

LLisette MarinoffI was so pleased with the facilities - very unique layout of the hotel, kind of a fun and mysterious experience to explore the property and gain my bearings. I get a little tired of the typical hotel layout - it's always exciting to get a unique setup like this one.
The hotel has been in business since 1969 but has obviously been completely redone, probably multiple times since then because it feels so fresh and new. There wasn't anything that felt old or stale - the entire room felt so clean and new, I highly recommend for germaphobes like myself. I felt very comfortable here.
More than anything, I was so moved by the customer service. Being a semi-frequent guest of hotels all over, I've come to learn that lowering my expectations before checking in at most places will prepare me for the inevitable disappointment - haha. BUT this was not the case here - the gentleman who checked me in was beyond friendly and helpful, I felt so touched by the personal effort he clearly put into ensuring my check-in experience was special. I will remember that for a long time. The lady who assisted me in the evening with a small purchase in the lobby and adding my rewards number to the reservation was also very friendly and not in a forced or ingrnuine way. I truly felt her kindness, both, through the phone, and over the counter. She went above and beyond to make me feel valued as a guest/customer and associates like her and her coworker who checked me in just don't go easily forgotten in my book.
The guest service and unique experience you're sure to have when you stay here are what set this hotel apart from the rest. I absolutely recommend if you're in the area. What a lovely place for anyone to come visit but still feel right at home. :)
