Hotel le Bellevue

I can not wait to leave. I am here on business. My room is extremely small about 300 square feet. There are only 2 electrical outlets in the room. There is no air conditioning and the room is always EXTREMELY HOT. My room is just awful! It has no window but it does have double doors to a balcony. I have to keep the doors open to cool the room both day and night and no matter what it still stays hot in here. I have gotten terrible nights sleep here. The room faces a road with constant traffic all day and all night. Breakfast costs 12 Euros and there is a nice selection. You can make your own poached eggs in a hot water bath. That was going fine until a hotel guest placed a glass jar of breast milk in there that leaked into the water bath which ruined my eggs as they were cooking. This is absolutely the worst and wrong hotel for me. I will never stay here again. If you like to stay in hotels that are HOT, noisy, small and uncomfortable than this is the place for you. I will be leaving here in bad shape in dire need of rest and a good nights sleep.

We stayed at this hotel during half term to go skiing. I wasn't expecting much as the rate was very reasonable but when we arrived it felt like we had arrived at the Bates Motel. All the lights were out and there were creepy clown paintings on the walls. The rooms were small, basic and very old fashioned but clean enough. We could have coped with all that but what we couldn't cope with was the fact that they have 2 beautiful dogs kept in two tiny cages at the end of their garden. They were locked up for the entire 6 days we were there and never taken on walks. Their concrete cages had no shelter and were covered in urine and faeces and the dogs were absolutely miserable. Despite the blistering winds and snow they were out there every day and night - it was horrific to witness. Every morning we would feed them some food and they would desperately try to jump over the fence to escape. We all found it very upsetting and when I raised it with the owner she simply said they were hunting dogs and that they are used to living outside. That may be the case but it wasn't just them being outside that was upsetting - the main issue was that they needed exercise and a clean environment in which to live. Neither of which they had. She said they clean the cages out every Saturday!!! which is clearly disgusting and not enough. Plus all dogs - whatever breed - need exercise and these were never allowed out of their cages once in the whole time we were there. So please - if you care about animals at all please do not stay at this hotel. But if you do have to stay here for whatever reason - please say hi to those poor dogs and make sure the owner knows it is not acceptable to keep any animals trapped in a freezing cold tiny cage surrounded by their own faeces day in day out.
