This was a trip to treat myself to a belated Leap Year birthday, and it was perfect in every way. I loved how attentive the staff were, the gorgeous room and warm welcome, and the lovely grounds. I felt special and looked after, and I loved walking the grounds which were immaculately kept. What a special place.

Had the most wonderful stay at Cliveden. Visited alone for a bit of rest and relaxation - as I’m a busy mum of four! The whole team were so welcoming. From the moment you hand your car keys over to the valet until you depart you are treated with respect and smiles. The actual House is full of beautiful portraits and hidden corners with antiques dotted around. I visited the spa daily and had a wonderful massage from Imogen. I very much enjoyed sitting in the hot tubs outside with the wind howling at the same time! The front desk staff were helpful and showed me on a map how to take a 2 hour invigorating walk around the Estate. I stayed at the Chinese room, which was definitely different to my usual style hotel rooms. Lots of small touches in the room showed someone had made the effort to think what someone may require for the duration of their stay. I look forward to returning!!

What an excellent venue for a meeting! My experience at the Cliveden House was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. My reception was well managed, from check-in through my suitcase being delivered ahead of me to the room. My room was large, comfortable and well appointed. The tablet in the room available to review the information on the resort's amenities and grounds was appreciated, as I was also able to read a number of periodicals offered. The meeting facilities were excellent, providing strong WIFI connectivity, as well as beverages and snacks. The young man on staff that managed our meeting, and was also a server at our private dinner Wednesday night, was very attentive and did an extraordinary job. I apologize that I can't recall his name, but he is an asset to the staff at Cliveden House. Finally, I found the food to be delicious and well presented. One of my colleagues was displeased with a white wine selection being served, and the staff quickly addressed the situation by replacing it. Yet another great example of the Cliveden House staff moving quickly to ensure our experience there was good. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at Cliveden House, and I would recommend it to anyone planning a meeting, looking for a relaxing getaway or hosting a special event.

Fantastic afternoon tea with exceptional service. We loved it. A brilliant celebration for my muns 70th. A once in a lifetime! The food was delicious and the views are lovely. The staff kindly explained the history of the house and did so much for us. Thank you

We took a family member for their 80th birthday and also had young children in our party. The service and atmosphere were second to none. It was a glorious afternoon tea experience and before and after we walked the grounds and enjoyed the maze.

The best place for afternoon tea! The surroundings, the ambience, the food and staff who couldn’t be more attentive (but absolutely not overbearing). From the moment you arrive at Cliveden and are greeted by the door man, it just feels special. A choice of with or without champagne (go on treat yourself it really makes it) you are served sandwiches, savouries and cakes on a traditional 3 tiered stand, on a white linen table cloth with a view across the beautiful Cliveden House gardens. Choose your tea and settle in for a really special experience. After your savouries you’re served warm scones with jam and cream, which are delicious too. Always my first choice for a special occasion, Cliveden afternoon tea is in a league of its own.

Beautiful location, lovely to wander around the gardens and down to the river. Afternoon tea in the house was fantastic (you need to book in advance!) An impressive array of sandwiches and cakes, you won’t go home hungry! The warm scones were a highlight!

As a gift from our children, we went to Cliveden for tea. We sat on a long, soft settee with a low table. Our waiter brought us a three tiered cake stand with sandwiches, savoury mouthfuls and sweet mouthfuls. All were really lovely, beautifully presented and very tasty. He then brought us warm scones with clotted cream and home-made strawberry jam. My husband had green tea and I had coffee. Altogether really lovely food and experience. Would recommend.
